You knew the side effect would come sooner than later. You just wished it wouldn't come bothering you first thing in the morning. Because you hated feeling like this when you have barely even woke up.

The first thing you felt was the cramp followed by the abdominal pain and you rolled to the side, knees moving up to your chest as your hands found your stomach and you groaned. The pain is still bearable at least, more than the cramps that came along with your monthly shark week.

But still, you dislike this feeling. At least there's no blood flowing between your thighs. But the abdominal pain was accompanied by nausea and before long you could feel the bile rising up your throat.

You grunted and rolled on your back before you finally sat up and climbed down the bed, heading straight to the adjacent bathroom. You bent down and almost instantly you threw up everything you ate last night.

Throwing up was nothing new to you, but you hated the aftertaste more than anything. The feeling of emptiness in your stomach followed right after and when the nausea subsided you headed to the sink and brushed your teeth, a few times, gurgle mouthwash until you could no longer taste the bile in your mouth.

Only then did you realize the shower was running and a few moments later it was turned off followed by Ushijima walking out with nothing but a towel around his waist, his hair still dripping wet with water flowing down his bare upper body.

You straightened up and wiped the side of your mouth before you turned around to face him.

"Are you alright?" he asked, walking up to the sink to take his toothbrush.

"No, I'm not alright. It's the side effect of those morning-after pills."

You headed outside, Ushijima's eyes trailing on your back until you headed outside the bathroom. When you got to the kitchen, you took out the chamomile tea from the fridge and poured yourself a glass, the tea somehow soothed the abdominal pain and you sat down on the stool, phone in hand as you browse around the internet.

Until you heard footsteps running down the hallway and when you looked up, you saw your son and a smile immediately made its way to your lips, the pain in your stomach almost vanishing instantly.

"Good morning mommy!" he said, running up to you as he wraps his arms around your waist.

"You have school today, right?"

"Yep, but I'll come home as soon as my classes end so mommy wouldn't be alone in the house."

"You're so sweet," you said, cupping his face and peppering him with kisses.
