I was weighing my options and wondering how my life got turned out Okay, so I'm glad everything is working out well between my dad and stepmom but I have to admit that I would have preferred it if he was still with mom. So now I sat at the park bench considering it upside down. Well, it all began with the bombs that had been dropped on me. Well, not actual bombs, see I just found out that my life was based on lies. Can you actually believe that? I just found out that since I was turning 18 in a few hours, my life was in mortal danger so I sat here at the park bench waiting for these guys to find me. If these guys were really as dangerous as mom and dad made them out to be then this was a dumb move on my part. But this wouldn't have happened if they'd just told me the truth. well, I guess it's time to face the music. I checked my phone and realized that I had been sitting on the bench for one hour. Are you the saying time flies when you're
having fun? well, time also does fly when you're not having fun. I guess whoever came up with that saying didn't look at both sides of the situation. anyway, I heard footsteps heading in my direction and I looked up to see four muscular guys heading toward me. okay, I could run but I don't think I could keep it up for much longer so I stood up and took a fighting stance. well, my family does not know that since I found out the big family secret, I started training with my older brother Raymond and he swore not to tell anyone my secret. the guys got closer but I didn't move a muscle. I just stared at them unblinkingly they, in turn, cracked their knuckles menacingly in hopes of scaring me but that dint work I stayed there and looked at them calmly as I pressed the side button on my watch which was like a beacon to alert the brother of my location but I knew that he would not reach me in time so it's now or never. with my fists held a little tighter, I punched the first guy who was closest to me and he tried to kick me but I jumped out of the way. the others circled me and waited for a chance to hit me. they wore ski masks and so I could not tell their identities however, I could see their eyes. the guy who I attacked had stormy grey eyes with just a touch of gold specs in them. he tried to kick me again and this time I caught it and spun it making him fall flat on his back. this must have caught him by surprise because his eyes widened in shock and I think pain. the other three took a step back but I attacked them flipping one of them over the bench and he groaned after hitting his head on the ground and dint get back up again. staring at the other two, I kicked one of them in the stomach and he doubled over clutching his stomach he put a hand to his mouth as he began coughing up blood. I was about to start hitting the last guy when Ray stopped me. by holding my arms down. " whoa do you want to kill your new teammates Tess?" he asked.
