"Did you speak to William? If you don't mind me asking?" His eyes flickered to mine before landing back on the road. I kept my gaze forward. and spoke.

"Yeah, we worked things out.. kind of. He wasn't mad or anything-I was relived." I nodded, clutching my purse in my lap.

"That's good."

"Yeah-so where are we going?" I asked with a small smile.

"You'll see." Suddenly he pulled into the drive through of a Wendys.

"You're taking me to Wendy's?" I laughed, covering my mouth to stifle the judgement.

"Your order still the same?" He mumbled while scanning his eyes over the menu. I ceased my laughter at his seriousness.

"Uh.. yeah, it is." I spoke.

"Can I get two Dave singles combos, one coke and one strawberry lemonade, yeah.. thanks."

"I can't even tell you the last time I had Wendy's, let alone the strawberry lemonade." I smiled.

"Yeah." He nodded.

I watched him pay and grab the two bags before handing them over to me. I smiled while wrapping my lips around the straw of my lemonade and taking a sip.

"Mhm, I missed that." I moaned.

He chuckled before driving off.

He drove us out of the city, the roads becoming more empty as the forest increased.

"You tryna' kidnap me?" I laughed nervously, clutching the bags.

"Oh you wish, Kingston." He smirked at me while darting his eyes to me and the road.

I sunk into the seat and stared forward, he pulled aside and parked the car. The lights shut off and he helped me out.

"If you told me you were taking me to a forest I wouldn't have wore heels." I pressed my lips together as he took my hand. He helped me walk as me made our way through the branches.

Until the trees ceased and my eyes landed on a old wooden dock.

"Do you just go out dock searching on your free time?" I asked. He squeezed my hand as he laughed. I gripped his hand so I wouldn't fall.

"Basically."

"Some things never change, do they?"

We walked onto the dock, sitting down on the edge, I pulled out my food from the back and placed it on my lap.

"Tell me this, when was the last time you sat on a dock with somebody and ate Wendys? Huh?" He unwrapped the silver wrapping of his burger.

"Probably.. years ago, you?"

"Same."

I took a bite of my burger and moaned in pleasure.

"God that's good." I covered my mouth with an embarrassed smile.

"So.. what's new?" He asked.
