Avi’s POV

“HARRY YOU WHORE!!!”  Louis screams from somewhere in the house.  I instantly start giggling.  Harry looks up from his spot on the couch.

“What’d I do?”  He asks innocently.  Louis walks into the room and spots me and Arella.

“Oh, hello.  When did you get here?”  He asks.

“‘Bout an hour ago.”  Arella tells him.

“Me and Zayn went to get them.”  Ame explains.  Louis pouts.

“I wanted to come.”  He says.

“You weren’t awake.”

“You should’ve woken me up!!”

“You get crazy when people wake you up.”  Louis keeps pouting.  Aww, he’s so cute.

“Quit pouting Louis.”  Zayn says, walking into the room with his girlfriend Carolyn.  She’s very pretty.  She’s 5’5” and has black hair with neon green undertones and blue eyes.  She’s pretty shy, even shyer than I normally am.  Harry’s girlfriend, Winter, is sitting on the couch next to him.  Again, she’s very pretty.  She’s the same height as Ame, only 5’2” and has dark brown hair and blue eyes, but they look gray sometimes.  Carolyn is eighteen and Winter is seventeen, but she’s already graduated from college because she’s really smart.

“Wait, Zayn was awake before Louis?  Is the world ending?”  Ame asks.  All the guys freeze and look at one another.

“We should hide.”  Liam decides.

“I don’t get it.”  Arella says.

“That’s because you’re hopeless.”  I say simply, shrugging.  She pouts.  “Come on, you know I love you.”

“Mhmm.”  She starts playing with her phone.  I sigh.  Niall walks in from the kitchen.

“There’s only one apple left.”  He says.  Ame and Harry both sit up straight and stare at each other.

“Mine!”  They scream at the same time and jump up to go get it.  They end up tackling each other to the floor and wrestling.  Everyone else just laughs as they watch them.  Me and Arella share a look and shrug.  They’re weird, but so are we.  Might as well just go with it.

Niall’s POV

Ame sits on my lap eating her apple happily.  Harry is pouting next to Winter, who’s trying to cheer him up.  Harry and Ame are obsessed with apples, it’s insane.  Harry constantly steals her apples and then she’ll complain to me o Liam for five minutes until one of us get her another one.  It can be annoying, but I love her so I don’t really mind.

“I’m bored.”  Louis whines.  “Avi, entertain me!!”

“Run Avi!!”  Zayn cries.  Avi just shrugs.

“I’m not very fun, quite boring really.”  Now we all just stare at her.  She’s about as boring as Louis is, which is not at all.

“She’s only interesting and funny when she’s not trying to be.”  Arella explains.  “When she tries to be it’s just horrid.”  Louis pouts.

“But I’m booooerd.”  He whines.

“Go play air hockey.”  Liam suggests.

“Okay!” Louis cries, grabbing Avi’s hand and running out of the room, dragging her with him.

“He’s not gonna hurt her, is he?”  Arella asks, concern clear in her voice.

“Louis?  He wouldn’t hurt a fly.  He’s harmless.”  Liam assures her.

“Well, mostly.”  I mutter.  Liam glares at me.

Louis’s POV

I hear Avi giggle as I drag her along behind me.  I hope I’m not holding her hand too tight.  She seems like the kind of person who’s more fragile than you’d think.  And she’s insanely funny, like me.  She was quiet at first, but she’s really come out of her shell.  I’d like to think that I’m the one responsible for that.  I am the one who’s spent the most time with her after all.  We get to the game room and I drop her hand to go over and turn on the air hockey table.  I slide one of the little things you use to hit the puck over to her and she smiles.  I place the puck in the center and we both get ready.

“3, 2, 1!”  I shout.  She knocks the puck out of the way before I know it and I quickly move to defend my goal.  I get there just in time.  I hit the puck back and she expertly blocks and hits it back.  This goes on for about half an hour.  We seem to be equally skilled in the art of air hockey.  Then, just as I’m about to suggest we call it a draw, she breaks through my defenses and gets the puck in my goal!

“Yes!”  She cries, jumping up and throwing her hands in the air.  She does a little victory dance and I notice something I hadn’t before.  There’s a tattoo on the back of her left shoulder.  I’d notice the gold snake wrapped around her right arm, but not the one on her shoulder.

“What’s that?”  I ask.  She stops dancing.

“What’s what?”  She asks, confused.

“The tattoo on your shoulder?”  She stiffens.  Did I say something wrong?  She slowly turns so I can see it.  It’s a blue butterfly with a name and two years written under it.  “Elora?  Who’s that?”

“My little sister.  She died four years ago at the age of five.  She had leukemia.”  She says quietly.  Louis you idiot!  Now look what you’ve done!  You’ve upset her.  I walk over and hug her.  She hugs back and buries her face in my shoulder.

“I’m sorry.”  I say softly.  Now I understand why Arella seems to think Avi is upset a lot.  I pull her over to a couch and sit, putting her in my lap.  She curls up against me.  She isn’t crying, and it doesn’t seem like she will.  But I hold her close anyway.  I’m not normally a very serious guy, but I can be when I have to.  And I’m willing to be as serious as I can be if it means comforting Avi.  I’ve only known her for a day, but I think I’m already falling in love with her.
