Chapter Nine: Would You Rather: Extreme

Ame’s POV

“What should we do?”  Niall asks.  We’ve been with the guys for three days now and we’re getting bored.  We all sit quietly for a while, thinking.  Then Avi and Arella look at each other and grin, then look at the rest of us.

“We should play Extreme Would You Rather.”  They say in unison.

“I’m almost afraid to ask, but what is that?”  Harry asks.

“It’s just like regular Would You Rather…”  Avi says.

“Only you actually have to do whichever one you chose…”  Arella adds.

“So it’s more like Truth or Dare with only dares.”  Avi finishes.  “Me and Cole made it up one day because we were bored.”

“Sounds like fun.  And a lot better than what I was expecting it to be.”  Harry says.

“Let’s play!”  Louis cries.

“There’s only one rule.  Since, with the exception of Jade, we’re all dating each other; none of them can include anything like kissing someone, going on a date with someone, etc.”  Arella says.  We all nod.

“Who wants to go first?”  Avi asks.

“I will.”  I say.  I think for a minute, then smile.  “Zayn.  Would you rather let me borrow one of your letterman jackets for a week, or get a tattoo of my face on your neck?”  I ask.  He groans, and I know I’ve won.

“Let you borrow one of my letterman jackets for a week.”  He says.  I jump up and go and get one and put it on instantly.

“I win.” I say, sitting down next to Niall again.

“You cheated.”  Zayn says.  I just shrug.

“Zayn, your turn.”  Avi says.  He thinks.

“Avi, would you rather have to say hello to every person you see for a whole month, or not be able to listen to music for two weeks?”  She stares at him in horror.

“You’re cruel!”  She cries.  He just shrugs.  She bites her lip and thinks for a while.  “Not listen to music for two weeks.”  We all stare at her.  Avi lives and breathes music!  “Saying hello to every person I see would be tiringly difficult.”  She says.

“Wow, I wasn’t expecting that.”  Zayn admits.

“None of us were.”  Carolyn says.  Arella is looking at Avi as if she’d said she was going to eat a live cat.

“Jade.  Would you rather dye your hair your natural color and leave it like that for a month, or not drink a smoothie for a month?”  Avi asks.

“Easy, not drink a smoothie for a month.”  Jade says.  Jade drinks at least one smoothie a day.  I’d love to see her not drinking any for a month.  I wonder if she’ll break before Avi does.  As far as I know, Avi doesn’t always listen to music.  Just, when she starts listening to music, she doesn’t stop for hours.  This will be interesting.

“Harry.  Would you rather straighten your hair every day for a week, or address me and refer to me only as Her Highness and Your Highness for a week?”  Jade asks.  Harry starts choking on his apple juice and stares at her.  Oh yes, Extreme Would You Rather is far more interesting than regular Would You Rather, or Truth Or Dare.  He thinks about it for a long time, chewing his bottom lip.  Winter kisses his cheek and smiles at him.  He sighs.

“Straighten my hair for a week.”  He says.  Now it’s Jade who starts choking on her juice.  She obviously wasn’t expecting him to choose that any more than the rest of us.
