Beyoncé Giselle Maraj-Knowles

Beyoncé looked down at the fuel tank, she definitely did not have enough gas to drive home and then to the hospital. She ran back into the house to see her father putting his coat on.

"Shouldn't you be with them?" Mathew questioned.

"I didn't fill up on gas on my way from the store—"

"Godammit Giselle." He said huffing with his hands on his hips, and Beyoncé sighed. "Don't scold me just please drive me home." She begged and he sighed agreeing.

"You need to call Robert—oh and Michelle. Pretty sure she's still stuck in the supermarket line." Robert said as they rushed to his car.

"Of course she is." Beyoncé mumbled fastening her seat belt, her leg bounced up and down as her father drove her to the very home she shared with Onika.

She picked up her phone and cringed at the low battery, she took her chances and called Robert anyways praying he'd pick up.

"Come on..come on.." Beyoncé chanted, till she heard the ringing stop.

"Hell-o?"

She let out a sigh of relief and before she could start talking her father did it for her. "Robert! Hey!" He shouted.

"Mathew? What's up man—you know I saw those tickets and I ended up booking them." He said and Beyoncé stared in disbelief as they had a normal conversation.

"That's great Rob! Cant wait!"

"Hey Robert?" Beyoncé spoke, "Oh! Beyoncé! I knew you were the one calling me what's up?" He asked casually—he sounded like he just woke up from a nap.

"Onikas giving birth."

"Oh that's cool.." He said tiredly before jumping up—dropping his phone and then picking it back up.

"Onikas giving what?!" He asked in realization. "Yeah—her water broke like 7 minutes ago. She's on her way to the hospital—I'm getting the night bag. Is there anyway you can get here in time?" She asked, watching the houses pass by. She wishes her father would just speed already.

"I-I can try—I'm in LA— I can make it there in time yeah." He said in a rushed tone, "Alright—my phones about to...die." She finished looking at her now shut off phone.

"Dad can you please drive faster?" Beyoncé begged, "I'm abiding traffic laws Beyoncé. Maybe if you were responsible and filled up your car before this you wouldn't have this issue." He stated and he wasn't wrong.

"I told you, you should've gotten the house closer to home. But no you wanted a house 40 minutes away." He said and she groaned. "This is not the time to lecture me." She stated eyeing him.

She couldn't help but let her mind wonder off to Onika. Was she okay? How long would she be in labor? Would she be okay?

"Stop worrying. She'll be okay." Mathew stated and Beyoncé turned to him, "How did you—" She started and he dismissed her.

"I know what you look like when you're nervous—and I know you're overthinking. Just relax. I know it's easier said than done." He said and she sighed—she felt a little better but still worried of course.

When they arrived at her home she ran into the house and searched for the overnight bag. She found it and began packing even more belongings in there. She made sure to grab a charger as well—and stayed still for a second trying to see if she missed anything.

She snapped her fingers and headed to the baby room her and Onika painted. She looked at it with soft eyes—and then found the baby blanket they decided she'd have.
