A/N- this has zero things to do with the real world or Hetalia besides the characters, but I thought it'd be cool. Plus, my stupid brain has been centering on this one single thing for way to long making it hard to write anything else and I swear to everything holy if I don't do something I might spontaneously combust. So. Have fun reading this rollercoaster of a One-shot. And for those who are new to Hetalia or live under a rock like me, Diego and Maria are the fandom names that has been given to Mexico. I believe Diego was northern half and Maria was southern half.

Diego POV 3rd Person
Hijo de puta. When the h*ll did crawling threw vents get so hard?! He didn't know, and he couldn't tell you. It's been Diego's job for so long, he can't remember how many decades it's been. It just seemed like the things got smaller and smaller the further into the galaxy they got.
New's flash, Earth is gone. It's been gone for a long time. Some humans got out and repopulated another world or two. But that meant new personifications. And some of the old one's were not about to deal with that. They disbanded themselves, so what? They were still immortal, they just won't come back when they do inevitably die.
That's fine. Right now Diego's focus was getting this stupid power source his sister needed. Well, more like their ship needed it, and his sister is just the mechanic.
Anyway, his crawl-space was becoming painfully small, like this abandoned ship knew he was there. And it was alive. They've met many a creatures and beings while in space, but never have they once met a sentient ship. And Diego did not plan on that happening now. Especially after the sentient swords. Those still give him shivers even now.
Putting that aside, if he wanted to have proper room, especially with the stupid helmet, he was gonna need out. And he hated to say it, but punching his way out was probably his only option. These vents didn't actually have vents, and he never could figure out where he was. So he did the only logical thing and hit the metal sheet below him as hard as he possibly could.
He hit it three times before suddenly falling with an abnormal amount of gravity to the floor. A very weak "mierda" was heard from him before he himself heard some static.
"...-good?" A voice rang out. It was soft. Very clearly Matthew's voice.
"Yeah. Yeah I'm good primo. Just hit my head a little," he muttered as he sat up. He was in some hallway. It didn't seem to have an end now matter which direction he looked. His gun was a few feet away from him, must've been thrown away when he fell, "Hey, can you give me a location Matt?"
"Yeah, give me a second," there was some more static for a bit, "Uhm, your tracker says you're in the bottom deck of the ship. Maria says the power source is in the front half of the ship, you were going the right way."
Diego picked himself up and went for his gun before turning the opposite direction, "It's that a little odd?"
"O- how?" Matthew's voice cracked through the com. Despite knowing Matthew couldn't see him, Diego shrugged, "I dunno, but it feels weird to have it up front. Literally everyone else has theirs near the back or center."
"Well, let me see," it went quiet again as Diego started walking. The hallway ahead of him had a sort of curve to it. Just enough that he couldn't see what was up ahead. He walked for about five minutes with the static sound of his com. As he did he caught sight of a few markings on the wall. Thinking it better to keep these in mind for later, he started a recording on his helmet. Anything he saw and more would be reviewed later in the ship. Matthew's voice came back through a little later, he could also hear someone else talking in the background, "the ship doesn't register as anything made in the last millennium, according to the files. It dates back to right before our home was destroyed."
