(Picture of how i think Dr Pickles looks like)

Scratch the wonderful life.

Dr.Pickles had hacked up a hairball two hours after they settled down for the night, leaving Akari to pull off his sheets and blankets to wash them. These were his favorite. Jersey sheets were his favorite thing to sleep on, and. Like sleeping in an oversized t-shirt that stains easliy. And the blanket was a custom print with pictures of Dr.Pickles scattered about. Sadly the spare cotton sheets would have to do. It wasnt as confortable but it would have to due for tonight.

"You couldn't have waited until, like I dont know.. when the sun is out?" He glared at the cat who was (somewhat) grooming his belly. "Or when I didnt just wash them a few days ago?"

"Merow"

"Pitiful."

Laying back down on his now basic bed, he grabbed his phone from the bedside table.

New message from Unknown Number:
It's Eraserhead.

Wow. He didn't actually expect him to message him. To be completely honest, he had forgotten he even wrote his number on the bag. Would it be weird to respond at this time?

Nah.

Akari:
Question: Is it possible to get a stain out of white sheets?
Sent 02:26
If not, would you be interested in taking a cat?
Sent 02:27

He didn't expect a response right away. He was only doing it because he was now bored and not going to fall asleep anytime soon.

Eraserhead:
Depends on how the stain was put there.

Akari:
Hairball mixed with a little bit of throw up.
Dr.P devoured his food withing chewing.

Eraserhead:
In that case, if best to just burn them and release the feline to the wild. His fat should keep him alive without food for a few days.

Akari grinned at his phone, face glowing a bit brighter. He enjoyed when people liked making fun of his cat like he does. Don't get him wrong. He was kind of the one who allowed him to get so big, but chunky cats are chunky cats. Got to love the not so little guys. Slowly, his eyes began to droop again. Going to his camera, he snapped  a picture of his tired self with Dr.Pickles sitting in the frame.

Akari:

It was the next morning when Akari woke up again. He did his morning routine like he always did. Get up, feed the cat, take a shower, get ready for the day, and leave. A very repetitive thing, but it was easy. He wasn't really a morning person so all of this was done with a scowl on his face and his face glowing from annoyance.

"I still can't believe why you did that last night." He grumbled with a toothbrush in his mouth while he packed his bag for work and The Bean. "I have to by new sheets because of you. They aren't cheap mind you."

Dr.Pickles sat patiently beside his bad watching his with curious eyes. Akari stared right back at him, direct eye contact and everything. The cat was not affected.

"Just get in the bag."

The walk to work was uneventful. It was his turn to open(like always). Usually he would get there around 7ish. He had stopped at McDonald's for breakfast so he didn't have to eat a muffin that his cousin had made that morning. It was rare for his cousin to work, but once every few months his Uncle makes him make a batch of muffins to see if his baking skills have improved. They have not, but probably never will. The dude is a dunce. As soon as he walked in the cafe, he could smell burning. He quickly made his way to the kitchen, sitting his back pack which held Dr.Pickles on the ground before busting through the door.

"Denki you fucking dumbass get out of the kitchen before you catch the oven on fire again!" Grabbing oven gloves, he pushed the teen out of the way so he could pull the cooking tray out. They weren't completely burnt this time. They were a dark brown color and most likely the bottoms were black so there was a little improvement.

"You're suppose to set a timer as soon as you put them in. Has your dad taught you nothing?"

"I swear I looked away for one minute!" He saw the phone in his hand that was connected to a charger that way being charged with his mouth.

"That's a whole ass lie and you know it. Just go wash your hands and get ready for school. Starts at 8:30 right?"

The blonde nodded and grumbled "so bossy" before leaving the kitchen.

Kaminari Denki was his younger cousin. His Uncle had basically raised Akari and Denki together so they were kind of like siblings. He wasn't the brightest crayon in the box but he still colors decently. He didn't mind his cousin all that much. But his place was in the kitchen and Denki's well... Is not. He should never be allowed anywhere near a kitchen unless he's making a bowl of dry cereal. Like straight out of the box.

"Did you have any homework you didn't get done last night?" Akari called out from the kitchen. Luckily he had extra batter of the muffic Denki had so he was able to make some more. He trusted him with making the batter, it's just the cooking part he was worried about. School had never been his favorite, so he had to keep him on top of academic work.

"Eh, homework is for nerds. My teacher is pretty chill. Sleeps most of the period so I'm not too worried."

Akari paused.

"Your teacher wouldn't happen to be Eraserhead by any chance?"

"How'd you know"

"Caught the dude sleeping on the back couch. " He placed the tray of muffins on the oven rack. "And from how this pink girl talked about him yesterday, i would do you homework on your way to school or he'll beat your ass."

"Wait you know Mina?!"

"Yeah, she comes in almost everyday. Kinda loud but being around you most of my life, she's quite tolerable. Now get going. Don't forget you're helping out after school."

It was tuesday. The hours between breakfast through lunch were always the slowest on weekdays. With it being the second day of school, he was glad that it wasn't busy. His Uncle can't find any more employees so he's all alone work wise for for the day. Not like he wasn't use to it.

The cafe was almost completely empty. Give or take a few customers working on their laptops or reading a book. Sitting on the stool behind the counter, he pulled his phone out as it vibrated in his pocket

Eraserhead:
Teenagers are the worst.

Akari:
You seem shocked. With the bunch you have, i wouldn't be surprised. I know two of them apparently and they are a handful.

Dr.Pickles had hopped up onto the countertop at that point, rubbing his body on Akari's face as he was propped up on his elbow. He pulled his camera up and attempted to take a picture. It was blurry as Dr.P was moving around but you could see the top of Akari's head and his yellow eyes over the back of the feline. Good enough.

Akari:

The response he got was not what he was expecting.
