Dream was staring at George with an unamused expression "Anytime now would be brilliant"
George sat up straight praying that it would somehow boost him with confidence "Erm...well" he then looked around at all the eyes staring at him
"It's okay George, take your time" Puffy smiled
"I'll start from the beginning I guess" George paused "So yes, it's true, I am prince George from L'manburg-"
"Shocker" Dream cut in. Puffy tapped him lightly on his shoulder telling him to be quiet
George decided to only give small details on why he left "And well, I ran away because I didn't want to be there anymore, I had enough of being in a castle all the time so I decided to run away. I don't want to seem selfish, I've had things handed to me all my life and I wanted to do something myself for a change. Like it was nice not to worry about things but I wanted a normal life" he looked back around at the faces. Everyone looked understanding, except Dream
"So let me get this straight" Dream stood and began pacing "You have had everything handed to you all your life." he stopped pacing "and you decided you wanted to leave...all because you wanted a normal life." he paced again, making George feel nauseous
"Well, yeah that's basically what I said" George answered
Apparently that wasn't the answer Dream wanted. He stopped pacing and faced George
"Do you KNOW what some people would do to have what you had the opportunity to!?" Dream yelled making everyone in the room jump. Patches flying off George running into a corner
George lowered his head "Yes I do, and I'm not trying to seem selfish" he looked up "I just put myself first and decided what would be better for myself. And leaving the castle is what it was and I took that chance while I could"
"Do you KNOW what situation you've put me and my crew into?!" Dream yelled louder than before. George felt his eyes blur and he looked down
"No, I don't know. I genuinely don't" he whispered in response. Karl squeezed his hand
"Well let me tell you since you're too stupid to understand" Dream spoke harshly
'Ouch' he thought
George felt his eyes water more "I'm not stupid..."
"Well clearly you are" he then threw the newspaper at George and it fell off him onto the floor. He let the tears fall.
"Dream that's enough!" Sapnap shouted
Dream turned to him "Oh, are you sticking up for him now? I thought you hated him? Didn't you want him to be eaten by sharks?!" he shouted back
"I was just being stupid Dream. I wouldn't physically hurt him. And you JUST have. He's ran away from home with no plan of going anywhere, he happened to run on to our ship, and now you're yelling at him. He hasn't exactly done anything" Sapnap paused "so yea I will defend him"
"But in the long run WE look like bad people. We just so happen to have the runaway prince of a very powerful kingdom. They might think we stole him and they'll behead every single one of us!!" Dream was screaming by now
The room was quiet. That broken by George's heavy sobs into Karl's shoulder who was close to crying as well but wanted to comfort George the best he could. Dream turned around to George.
"Stop crying. Fucking pathetic." He began walking out the door "I'm going to bed. Don't disturb me." He slammed the door
George jumped and fully broke down
