Arielle
The feeling of not being with Salem for most of the day was killing me. We have never been apart for more than an hour. When I got out of the car I was met with stares from the other students.
Was it my clothes? I thought my denim jumper and yellow and white striped shirt were fine. I keep my head down, the attention is extremely overwhelming.
I couldn't lie and say I wasn't nervous. My hands are shaking so violently that it's hard to read the timetable in my binder. Room 43 - Spanish. I skip to the map and try to locate my class and plan the quickest route.
I felt my body hit against something hard, my binder almost falling out of my hand.
"Watch it you little runt!"
I look up to see some mean looking alpha staring back at me. His brainless followers copying his glare. It made him look constipated. Is he trying to intimidate me?
"Are you deaf?" he hisses as me.
I just continued to stare at him.
Out of no where someone appears beside me, a female omega with curly chestnut brown step in front of me. "Leave the boy alone, Brandon." Now her glare was intimidating, those hazel green eyes look like they could pierce anything. "Stop being a fucking asshole for once."
He looked unaffected by the comment. "Like I care you little shit." he turns on his heel and walks off, his lackeys on his tail. She sticks up her middle finger and points it in his direction.
"Sorry about that sweetheart. He's Brandon Cohen. A real douche, been harassing us omegas since freshman year. He thinks he's boss when it comes to omegas." I notice the distasteful look on her face as she turned to look at me.
"Thank you for the help....?" I trail off.
"Oh I never introduced myself. I'm Isabella Haydes, You? she asked me, I large smile on her face. "My name is Arielle Sawyer, I'm new here, first day to be exact." I replied.
She looks like she's thinking about something, "are you by chance the boy that came out of Jeremy's car earlier? My bestfriend Caleb texted me about some unknown omega exiting his car." I slowly nod.
"You know who he is?" people really do talk.
"Who doesn't! One, he's the son of the Alpha and two, he's a tall glass of hot chocolate milk!! Anyone would kill to be in his car." she has the most dreamy expression on her face. "oh." I answered dumbly. Her eyes start searching mine, as if she was trying to look into my soul. "hmmm....You're from a different pack, aren't you?"
"I'm not. I'm an orphan from the River clan." I kept my voice monotone. Her expression changes into a sympathetic one. I always hate it when people pity me. "Shit I didn't mean to pry." I just shake my head and answer with a simple 'it's fine'. "You're soooo cute" she starts hugging my arm.
Do they also show affection to random strangers that they met a few minutes ago? These types of things make me uncomfortable. Showing affection overall makes me uncomfortable. Thankfully she guides me to the room before the bell and makes a promise to meet me at lunch.
People kept staring at me but didn't approach me. Everything went smoothly until 4th period. I unfortunately have History with Brandon. I ended up reaching late because I got lost. "Excuse my tardiness." I told the teacher. "No worries dear. I'm Mrs. Martinez. Your name please?" she chuckled at my excessive formality. "My name is Arielle Sawyer." I answered. "Lovely to meet you Arielle, why don't you go take a seat." Mrs. Martinez advised. Unfortunately the only available is the one beside Brandon.
My full attention is on the teacher until Brandon's voice broke my focus. "Jeremy's bitch, aye?" Brandon taunted. I pay him no mind as he turns slightly to face me, a smirk on his face. I pay him no mind.
He keeps on saying degrading things towards me. I didn't want to react with violence but he is making it very difficult. Thankfully, the teacher stops him. "Brandon, I know you love to behave like a little perra but could you please do it outside of my class time. I would really appreciate that." low chuckles started slipping through the cracks of the quiet. Brandon's face turned red with anger.
. . .
The sound of the bell ringing makes me feel so happy. I grab my bag and rush out of the class. Isabella was at her locker with someone I'm assuming to be the friend she was talking about earlier. He has beautiful long honey blonde hair and rosy skin, probably around my height or a little taller.
I can't see his eyes since his bangs obscure them a little. Isabella calls me over to meet him. Isabella introduces him as Adrian. He is the calmer of the two but still looks like he'll step on you if push comes to shove.
The cafeteria is too noisy.
Salem would have a mental break down in a place like this. Hell I feel like I'm seconds away from one myself. We maneuver our way to one of the tables in a corner. Adrian starts talking about Jeremy but I manage to direct the conversation to somewhere else.
I take my lunch out of my bag and the table goes quiet. "Did you make that!?" Isabella asked before I could even take my first bite. "Yes I did." I answer vaguely.
"It smells delicious and looks just as good too!!! Can we try some please please please please??" she gushes while Adrian nodded his head furiously in agreement. I took out two extra forks for them to use. I usually use chopsticks for meals like this but I also carried forks just in case. "What is this?" Isabella questioned. "It's chicken chow mein with white rice." They handed me back the forks after a few bites.
"You're a really good cook Arielle." Adrian complemented. I thank him and start eating. Isabella starts telling Adrian about earlier with Brandon while they eat. Cafeteria food looks unhealthy and disgusting. It just looks so nasty oh my god. "Couldn't he wait till like never to antagonize you. He is such a jerk." Adrian makes a face of distaste. "He's in my language class unfortunately. "
. . .
My first day at school was alright. Definitely a new experience but not a bad one. When Jeremy picked up Salem she went on and on about her day most of it in Italian so I doubt Jeremy understood most of it. After we got dropped off at home, I put on Sponge bob square pants for Salem and I to watch. We got the snacks and flopped down into the couch both of us in our animal onesies.
