Arielle
It was so bright..nnghhh...my head hurts like hell.
I opened my eyes to see...I was in a hospital. A hospital? How? Instead of my clothes I'm in a hospital gown.
The last thing I remember was that I was being chased through the forest and I fell as well as Salem still being asleep...Salem...Salem.... SALEM.
I shot upright which was a terribly stupid mistake on my part. The pain was absolutely unbearable. I need to find my sister .
"Oh dear be careful. You aren't in the right shape to be getting up or even moving so quickly at all" a sweet nurse came in to tell me.
She was really pretty, smooth looking dark skin, shoulder length caramel brown hair and bottle green eyes, she looked like she was in her late 20s early 30s.
"May I ask, how long was I out for?" I looked at the nurse. "It's been four days since you were brought here." she replied.
"I need to see my sister... now... please where is she?" I asked her wearily. She stops and looks at me in confusion before her face lights up in realization.
"I'll be right back darling. Could you maybe wait a little?" she requested. The nurse looked nervous. I nodded wordlessly.
Soon enough I could feel myself drifting back off to sleep until a loud squeal echoed through my ears, successfully waking me up again.
I opened my eyes again to see a happy Salem holding the hand of a man I didn't know and beside them was two other men and a really pretty woman.
Their auras were overwhelming and it felt like I was being crushed under the weight of an elephant.
While the woman had a calm and caring look to her, the males look like they were about to murk me on sight.
She let the man's hand go and ran over to the bed, climbing onto it and hugging me tightly. I hugged her back, thanking the moon goddess for returning my sister to me.
"It's good to see you awake, Arielle. I'm Marcus, the alpha of this pack." He didn't sound so happy to see me awake. By the looks of it they saw the pack mark on my back.
This is my oldest son, Jake, my daughter Jayda and my youngest Jeremy." The tall man introduced himself and the others.
"If you don't know, you are in Shadow clan territory." He told me. There was distaste written all over their faces.
That's when I realized I fucked up. For hundreds if not thousands of years, everyone knew that the Shadow clan and the Thunder clan were sworn enemies.
It was and is always on sight when faced with one of my kind.
What am I going do? I can't let them kill my sister. She's all I have left. I just shakily nod my head at him. Salem didn't understand what was going on.
Did they know? "Yes we do." Marcus answered. My mouth dried up. As my body began to shiver in fear his fruity voice broke the silence. "How is he doc?" he asked the lovely nurse.
"W-well, he suffered a grade 3 concussion and in addition to that he is very dehydrated as well as u-underweight, so I hooked him up to the IV." she answered.
"And we are wasting valuable resources becauseeeee..." the one I assumed was Jeremy hissed.
Well one thing I know, he does NOT like me. He made it very clear. It kind of stings though. The nurse also appears uncomfortable but she managed to speak.
"They still are children so we have to take of them and from the test results they've either been searching for days or...." she trails off, making a face as if she knew something she shouldn't.
By the looks of it she probably did. The nurse hung her head out of fear of accidentally making eye contact.
"Do not worry Autumn you were doing your job, you are dismissed." Marcus remarked. She quickly left the room, eager to get away from their bone crushing auras.
Well shit, I rather stick a stencil knife up my ass before being stuck in a room with these four. Marcus moved closer to the foot of the bed.
By this time Salem fell asleep and her head was resting near the crook of my neck. "So Arielle, did the Thunder clan send you here?" he asked me.
I shake my head no in response. Some how I manage to anger both Jeremy and Jake with my response. "Bullshit" the two sneered in unison.
Salem stirred about from the loud noise causing the room to go dead silent. Jeremy spoke again but this time his voice was quieter. "You're obviously some spy that they sent-"
I cut him off before he could continue. Them sending me as a spy would be their biggest mistake ever cause I would be snitching out hell.
"T-that's not the reason I swear!!!" I exclaimed quietly.
That's on my momma's grave, yall.
"Then what is the reason?" Marcus questioned, both him and Jayda seemed calm in contrast to Jeremy and Jake. My palms began sweating, If only life could go my way for once and just let the earth swallow me whole.
Bouts to speed run up in this bitch.
"IranawayfromhomebutIdidn'texpectthatI'denduphereIswearthatwasn'twhatIwastryingtodoIwasjustrunningandendeduphittingmyheadhereItwasjustanaccident." I rambled.
Usain Bolt wishes he could run as fast as my lips. They looked as though they weren't buying my statement if you could even call that a statement.
Marcus sighed, "Now that you two are here, we can't let you both go, you know that right?"
I nodded, "That would be a major breach of pack security and you can't let us go because you think we'll return to my pack so you'll be holding me hostage, am I correct?" their eyes widened but quickly returned to their normal look of distaste.
"At least you're smart." Jake made a snarky comment. Jayda shot him a glare and mouthed the words, 'Shut it'.
Marcus disregarded the comment and continued, "The first half of your statement is correct and no, what type of alpha or even a person if I locked up an omega who doesn't look like he's had his first heat?"
Oh how wrong you were about that. Heats are probably a god send, that's one of the only reasons he'd ever leave me alone.
"So what then...." I trailed off. My anxiety is going to be death of me. I stared at the metal panel on the wall, those smokey grey eyes staring back at me.
"You'll exist in the pack like any other person. You will both be put in school/daycare and you both with live with me." he finished.
I felt like crying. Even though I wasn't expecting an offer like this I wasn't gonna turn it down. Anywhere felt safer than that hell hole I had to call my home. But Jeremy's reaction to this was in much contrast to mine.
"Fuck all of this" he snarled and storms out, slamming the door in the process. I flinch and close my eyes, balling up my fists.
Salem shoots up in fear. The door slamming reminded her of something that it shouldn't, just seeing the look of fear in her eyes broke my heart.
Jayda's expression softened while Jake looked like he was questioning something. "Sorry about my brother darling, he really hates the Thunder clan, and for a valid reason aswell... He really needs to control his temper because it might come at the cost of a hospital door." Jayda chuckled at the end.
What do you think caused those reactions?
