Steve

Making my way back to my booth from practically blackmailing a group of men for harassing a poor woman, I felt a sense of protectiveness over her, and I only know her name, her beautiful green doe eyes as she looked up at me, and the way her hair flows down like a milk chocolate fountain. Shaking myself out of my thoughts I sit down in my original spot as our very impatient waitress rolls her eyes at the situation that just occurred. After she took our orders and left. Sam started to piped up. "So even when you are meant to be off duty, you still can't help yourself can you?" He states with a mischievous grin.

"Shut it Sam, you can't just tell me to sit here and do nothing when something like that is going on." I grumbled, knowing that I am not the one in the wrong, those bastards where, when they tried to get under Kitty's skirt without her permission. Just remembering their faces makes my blood start to boil.

"Oh I would have helped you kick there asses for sure, but-"

"Your smitten with the girl Steve and you don't even know her." Bucky interrupts.

"I'm not smitten with her Buck!"

"Oh, so if I asked her out would you be okay with that?" Sam quizzes.

Giving my friends across from me a glare that could kill, as I am not going to give into their little game. "Like Bucky said, I know nothing about her. She could have a boyfriend..." The words left a bitter taste in my mouth. "So sure, give it a try." I challenge them right back.

After a while when Kitty came over and told us that everything was on the house, me and my old fashioned ways couldn't have that, no gentleman lets someone else pay for his food. So I decided I would pay her back when we leave. Whilst my friends were fighting over who would have the Strawberry milkshake over the chocolate, I was more than happy to admire Kitty, over the glass of my plain old vanilla milkshake. Too entrapped with the doll of a woman in front of me I didn't pick up on what my friends were conspiring until it was too late.

Now walking into the compound with Kitty's number in my pocket and clapping on the back of congratulations for what felt like the hundredth time, I couldn't get this stupid smile off of my face. But reality soon came knocking.

"Mr Stark would like to see you all in conference room A. The rest of the team have been waiting on your arrival." F.R.I.D.A.Y announced over the speaker. Quickly whipping the grin off of my face my serious demeanor took over. All three of us walked into the conference room, where the rest of the team all sat.

"Tony, can't your announcement wait until later, Steve has better news to share." Sam quipped as we sat down. Sitting at the head of the table, Bucky sat on my right and Sam a few seats down closer to the screen.

"If it's more important than her..." Stark stated as he moved to the next slide, pointing to a picture of Kitty. "Then go ahead."

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Sam stare at the screen and then around at me. But I kept the same face I did when I first walked in, trying my best to keep my composure. Bucky just looks confused not just at the girl on the screen, but also at Sam.

"No, not that important, then I guess I'll carry on, shall I." Tony responds with a hint of annoyance in his tone. "This girl..." He began to speak whilst tapping on to the screen. "Managed to walk through a pretty thick brick wall, and the wall was still standing after she did it."

"So she didn't knock it down?" Natasha chimed in.

"No, it's still there, not a scratch on it." Tony replied as he began to start a video. It was Kitty, she was being chased by a few guys, presumably drunk. Knuckles turned white as I gripped onto the arms of my chair, sickened by the lack of respect society has today, and protective over the woman.
