Stefan and I were walking side by side on the sidewalk sharing awkward glances over each other. It wasn't anyone's fault, it was just the situation that we are in right now.

"I think I'm ready to date you now."

We were both going to a special place that he wouldn't tell me about. I had guessed it was somewhere indoors but I couldn't pin the exact place.

"Really."

He kept brushing his arm against my arm and it made me feel things. Nice things.

"Yeah, so do you want to date me."

Finally we had arrived at where we were walking to, and it was the movie theaters.

"I think my answer will be…"

Why would he keep something like this a secret?

"I think my answer will be yes. I will be your boyfriend."

"You picked this as our first date." I questioned him and looked at him with a judging expression.

"It's been a month and I was running out of ideas "he complained as he gave our tickets to the person at the desk.

"It can't be that hard to do." I reasoned with him.

He smiled and pulled me to get some snacks before we sat down.

"What are we watching?" I asked him.

"Spiderman: no way home." He answered.

"You mean the movie that we have both seen three times already."

"I told you I was running out of ideas."

I smiled and took a drink from his soda even though mine was right next to me. He gave a challenging look and took a drink from my soda.

I let out a quiet laugh and looked at him.

"I can't believe your brother let you go out so late."

"He didn't." I smiled," I snuck out and Kol is covering for me "

"You don't honestly believe that that is going to work do you?" He questioned me.

"No, but I'm hoping it will last longer than it usually does." I replied as the movie was starting.

I kept looking at him as the movie progressed with the hopes that he would do the thing that I am too scared to do. Eventually he just took a hold of my hand and looked back at me.

"Want to skip the rest of the movie and go eat?" He whispered towards me.

"Yeah let's go." I said.

We both got up with our food and drinks and headed out; throwing our trash out in the process.

"Do you want to go to the IHOP?" He said as we got in his car.

"Yeah I hear they have good stuff." I replied as he started driving.

"It's the best." He smiled," do you want to order online so when we get there we can eat it here."

"Yeah, can you get me  short stack pancakes?" I asked.

"I was going to get the exact same thing." He said and smiled at me.

He put in our orders and then started to focus on the road.

I kept glancing at him every few seconds. I was really nervous about if tonight was going to go well and it doesn't help that Elijah doesn't know I'm out to begin with.or it could be the fact that I only have experience with the girls I've liked and never the guys I liked.
