**Okay, so my apologies to my eager readers. I'm only going to upload the Forward today. The boring shit that only I like rambling about... stuff about the story. I finished two more chapters since last weeks posting, so that means I have five chapters ready to start off with. But I'd like that extra week to get at least one more under my belt, or two if I'm lucky. That will give me a more comfortable distance between what will currently be uploaded to what still needs to be written, expanded, or remastered. I have a lot of that still left to do on all fronts. New chapters, I have six to seven more to write. And only two existing chapters had been remastered, so I have all the rest of those to complete. Sounds easy, but it's not. I have those POV problems within, which take time to work out. And when I decide to expand a scene, it's usually unplanned. So that means that, I can be pretty much be adding new chapters or half length scenes at any given moment if an idea slaps me in the face. So... next week, Chapter 1... I promise!

------------------

Hi, welcome to my version of the new and improved Endurance. If you've read this story before, stick around. I promise a brand new reading experience.

I began uploading the original story almost two years ago. It's remained a favorite of mine, yet didn't seem to resonate with readers for some reason, as it is my least read multi-chapter story. I had two assumptions as to why. One was that for a long time, I had a lousy summary for it, which maybe didn't appeal to readers (which I've since changed.) And two, it featured middle-aged Tommy and Nikki, and I think that most readers enjoy the pair in their younger years. Not to mention that my AO3 upload is a hot mess,, with the chapters being linked together as a series, instead of all under one title. That's because it was an evolving work in progress. Anyway, I'm kind of just guessing, but I hesitate to believe that it was the story itself because I have gotten some of the most profound feedback on this story among all my written pieces.

So why redo it, you ask? Well, since the original was uploaded, I've improve my writing skills greatly. It's at the point where when I re-read Endurance, I cringe a little... sometimes a lot. I don't like the present tense form it was written in, and it's choppy. Plus I had multiple POVs within the same scenes. Back then, although I had great storytelling skills, the execution of writing the story out, needed to improve greatly. I had never written anything before hopping on Wattpad to give Terrorcest a shot, so there were things I didn't know about writing, such as sticking to one character's POV in each scene or chapter. Now I know better.

So, my initial thought was just that I wanted to fix those things to make the story what I thought it deserved to be. But as I began to get into it, I realized that there were gaps in the timeline where new chapters could be slipped in. The long and short of it is, a lot has changed about this.

Here's what to expect from the new remastered version.

Small changes:

Changed from present tense to a past tense POV.

Eliminated the confusing multiple POVs.

Fixed a few small parts that I wasn't happy with initially.

Expanded some existing scenes.

Bigger changes:

Some of the expanded scenes were long enough to become their own chapter.

Aside from those, several brand-new chapters have been added, including several from Tommy's and Nikki's younger years. As a matter of fact, it starts with the first time they met, and goes from there. Life in the Motley House. Their first tour, and many more things that go dive deeply into early events that were previously left out.

Around chapter twelve, the original story picks up. But even those will have some new chapters slipped in between, or expanded scenes added. The existing chapters will be recognizable, but much improved and meatier.
