Six months passed in a blink of an eye and Ambrose is now heading to the place where the exam is. "Your grimoire, name and where you came from" the man who's in charge on registering people said and Ambrose took his grimoire from his waist before showing it to him.
"Ambrose Lucille, Hage" he said as he pulled down the hood of his cloak to hide his shyness.
"a-a six leaf?" the man looked so surprised but soon registered Ambrose and gave the grimoire back.
"166"
Ambrose went inside the place(i didn't know what to call it) and saw some anti magic birds around flocking at some applicants except him and the raven haired guy from the grimoire temple.
"The anti magic birds again"
"If you have more of them on you the lesser magic you have"
"those two didn't even have any anti-magic birds around them"
"a boy from boonies and a.... A noble I guess? That cloak looks so fancy"
"why is he wearing a cloak though"
"Look that shrimp had tons of anti magic birds around him"
And a certain ash blond boy walk in with flocks of bird pecking on him. He started to scream and run around like a headless chicken until he bumped into a serial killer looking man.
"You have a death wish brat?" He grab the poor boy's head as he threaten him.
Poor you. Sorry I can't help you he looks so terrifying I'll pick up your bones later instead. Ambrose thought as he stared at the poor kid being threatened.
The anti magic birds suddenly flew away as the powerful individuals stood before them introduced as the magic knight squads captains. Luckily the scary man let's go of the ash blonde kid and went to where the other captains is.
"Magic tree descend" a big tree descend giving them broomsticks. "The first test is to fly on a broom. If you can't even lift yourself in the slightest height then why you even here"
The applicants started to try and fly with a broom some flew a meter tall and some flew even higher. The raven haired boy from the village of hage was the center of the attention as he soar through the sky while standing on the broom.
Ambrose took a deep breath before positioning the broom under his butt before pouring his mana to it. The broom slowly floated and he controlled how it flew and fly passed the raven haired boy.
Their eyes met and because of the wind Ambrose's hood nearly came off so he immediately grabbed it and carefully held it while flying with the broom but the boy, Yuno already saw his face before he covered it back.
Ambrose just brushed it off since he'll reveal it soon. The next test was to break a wall Ambrose borrowed Aquarius' second element and used the ice to create Ice lances to break the wall which impressed everyone.
The third was to hit the targets on the sky and Ambrose still used Aquarius' ice magic to complete it. Next is creation magic he made bouquet of ice rose. The next test was to grow a seedling with magic Ambrose grew an ice tree with snowflake as its leaves.
"And now for the last test! Combat test! Find a pair to spar with you are allowed to use your grimoire" Fuegoleon said.
Everyone look for opponents and the first ones are the annoying Ba-ha guy and Asta. Ambrose stood on the corner not too far from Yuno watching Ba-ha guy taunt Asta.
"Annoying bug" He muttered not noticing the stare of Yuno.
"The first battle shall begin!"
