Chapter 6

"You all did a great job out there shrimps. Here's your pay for the month" Captain Yami gave each of them a pouch of money.

"Woah! So much money!" Asta stated looking inside the pouch.

"Hmm! Barely a pocket money" Noelle flipped her hair.

"Hey! This can last ten years of the orphanage's food!" Asta retorted and notice something on Yami's hand. "Captain what's that shiny things you holding?"

"Those are stars Asta, it's a reward that the wizard king grants each squad in every big act they do. Currently Golden Dawn had 70 stars giving them the first place" Ambrose explained.

"Waaa! Then how many do we have?!" Asta seemed excited.

"Well, we have... " they were waiting for Yami's answer but Ambrose already knew about it since he remembered this scene from the anime. "We have -30 stars"

Black stars are displayed before them as Yami put the two gold stars on the vacant. "Gahh! Yuno's squad had far more stars that ours!"

"If we want to rank up we still need to gain 100 more stars to surpass them"

Vanessa suddenly invited them to go to the capital to buy some things. Ambrose came along with them as Finral opened the portal to the capital.

They were greeted by loud bustling street with crowds looking on some products on various stands and shops.

Vanessa led them to an alleyway which confused Asta and Noelle. The black market had more interesting items to sell so it is the place for magic knights who want to buy weapons.

Asta was going around looking for something while Vanessa ushered Noelle to look for some wand to help stabilize her magic whenever she use it.

Ambrose on the other hand stayed close to Asta so he won't get lost. They soon went back to the two girls and found them getting hit by the Ba-ha guy.

"Uh? Your the Ba-ha guy from the exam!" Asta exclaimed.

"It's Sekke!"

The guy seemed to bash Asta internally but when he glance behind the ash blonde male his eyeballs pop out of his head seeing a boy with a crown resting on his head.

"AAAHH! THIEF!!!"

Their attention went to the old granny on the floor reaching out for her bag of money that was snatched away by a thief.

Asta wasted no time and immediately sprinted towards the thief while Sekke created a bicycle to ride on.

"Ew"

"Ugh damn insect" Noelle felt disgusted when Sekke tried to look cool.

Ambrose on the other hand was following Asta behind. He didn't help capturing the thief since he knew that Asta can take care of it. He saw Sekke was laying on the ground dramatically.

"You won't die just because of that small injury additionally that poison is weak" He bluntly stated looking down to the guy who flushed in embarrassment.

"Here you go granny. Be careful not to loose it again okay" Ambrose turned his head and saw Asta giving back the 'Granny's' money bag.

"Thank you so much magic knight"

"no problem"

The 'Granny' look straight to Ambrose's eyes and in return he smiled and mouthed something that only the 'Granny' could understand.

'Isn't it about time you should be in your castle? Wizard King? '

Before the 'Granny' could react Ambrose already went to his friends. She went to an alleyway before changing back to her original appearance, The 28th wizard king Julius Novachrono.

"Well isn't this interesting, like father like son. A commoner that is an anti-magic user and a royalty with celestial magic. I can't wait to see more of their magic" The man excitedly said as he went back to the palace only to be nagged by his personal assistant.
