Dinner went over great, both men happily chatting away about their day while sipping on their wine. It's flirting and friendly banter. It's like they were back at the restaurant, but they weren't. They were seated at the dining table in Harry's dining room.
When Louis is done, Harry makes quick work of taking their dishes to the kitchen, rinsing them quickly before placing them in the dishwasher.
He walks back over to the dining room and grabs his glass of wine, downing the contents in an effort to finally muster enough courage to talk to Louis about his ex.
When he places the glass back on the table, he looks over to where Louis is sitting, eyes wide and his lips slightly parted, half shocked about what he just witnessed.
"Are you okay?" Louis asks, breaking the silence.
Harry sighs heavily. "Yeah." He answers and pushes his wineglass towards the center of the table. "I just. We uhm. I-" he says, struggling to string along the words to form a basic sentence.
"Harry?" Louis asks confused.
"We need to talk." Harry finally says without breaking eye contact. "Please join me in the living room." He continues, his voice soft, before he turns around and starts making his way towards the living room.
