Being the daughter of Gaston was not easy as he had some pretty narrowed views of what women should and shouldn't do
Gil, ever so innocently, didn't understand why your father didn't want you to do things that made you happy; he loved it when you explained things to him since he could see his little sister's excited smile, he was the only one of your brothers who wouldn't just shut you down
You always jumped to his defense when they were bullying him, you had quite the sharp tongue and quick mind, specially when it came to deffending your favorite brother who, on the other hand, covered up for you even if he'd sometimes let things slip by accident
There was this one time you were watching the crew and you commented on how fun sword fighting looked like, Uma said it could be useful for you around the isle and commanded Harry to teach you
The pirate was happy to do so, his "don't worry, lassie, I'm gonna go easy on you" was followed by a smirk and you rolled your eyes but looked hesitantly at Gil, who just gave you one of his huge smiles, yelled out "I can distract dad, Junior and Third" and ran off
But the questioning was a bit too much and he hadn't planned well enough. When your father found you, he dragged you home and threw you inside your room, locking you there for days
That night, Gil snuck in the room and hugged you, repeating over and over again how sorry he was
"It's alright, Gil, I'm not mad." "No?" "Of course not, I know you didn't mean to rat me out. We just need to come up with a better excuse next time." "Next time?", he asked with a mischievous grin that you were quick to mirror
When Gil and Harry made it through the barrier, you were happy their plan had worked but also worried sick
You watched their interaction with the others and whooped when Uma showed up. Gil waved at you before they went away
Once the barrier was down for good, you crossed the bridge together and you saw him and Jay talking about some trip they seemed to be planning before
There was something there, something that wasn't there before and it took you second but it clicked, your eyes widened and you let out a surprised and happy laugh
There was nothing you wanted more than for your brother to be happy and that's all he had ever wished for you as well.
