Eric's gaze shifted aimlessly towards Cristina and instantly noticed that stare of hers. — her leery glance; a mocking, pointed look accompanied by a stifled snicker. It's the look Cristina did when she heard Lexie was living with him; that same look she always has when she's obviously mocking him. Eric knew then she had figured out his and Lexie's little secret.
He returned his gaze to the breezeway and remained silent, slowly letting out a deep sigh; ignoring the resident beside him, as Cristina continued annoying him into a reaction. He could see Cristina's mocking grin out of the corner of his eye.
"So you're keeping it a secret?" Cristina asked, breaking the silence. She sniggered annoyingly. Eric's face crumpled into a scowl, hearing her annoying cackle. "Let me guess. You're scared of Derek?"
Eric sneered and aimed a snide glare at her.
"You got that, uh..." Cristina chuckled, pointing to his face. Eric inhaled deeply and huffed angrily, his eyes narrowing in a piercing glare as she continued, "little vein popping out of your forehead."
"Derek Shepherd doesn't scare me," Eric stated plainly, gritting his teeth in frustration. "And I don't have to tell him."
"What about Mer?" Cristina stared at him as he looked away. "No? Well, I would've heard about it if she, maybe I should tell her."
Eric cast a quick glance at her and chuckled nervously, "W-what?" His eyes widened and his face suddenly turned pale as he stared at Cristina, wearing a dubious grin.
"She's her sister, so I suppose she should know."
"Don't!" Eric said threateningly, and Cristina shot him a surprised look. He shook his head and widened his eyes at her, emphasising, "Don't. tell. Meredith."
"Wh - are you..." Cristina noticed his sullen expression as she stared at Eric. "Wait..." She broke into a loud cackle and blurted out, "You're scared of Meredith Grey!?"
"I..." Eric stuttered incoherently. Cristina laughed at Eric's anxious mumbling. "I'll b-be the one to tell Meredith, j-just..."
"Chicken."
Eric glared at her. "I will tell her, not you."
"buk."
"Let me tell her, Yang."
"buk... ba-gawk."
"Quit it!" Eric hissed.
"The rigs are three minutes out," Callie uttered as she and Lexie exited the ER and walked towards Eric and Cristina. "We've got, uh, two more incoming."
Cristina whispered, leaning closer to Eric. "Chicken."
"Shut up." Eric hissed.
"Well, uh... ETA's ten - ten minutes." Callie paused, looking at the two doctors. "You two seem to be getting along."
"Uh, no," Cristina retorted.
"Yes, we're practically best friends now," At the same time Eric remarked sarcastically with a fake smile. He wrapped his arm tight around Cristina's neck, and she immediately stopped laughing.
"Ow. Ow. Ow." Cristina tapped on his arm and muttered, "Choke — ch-choking!"
Eric took his arm off her. Cristina rubbed her neck as she scowled at him.
"Has anyone paged Hunt?"
"I did," Lexie replied. She beamed as she continued. "W-well, my interns did." she then giggled gleefully, scrunching her face and giving out a toothy grin. Her face brightened up with delight.
