NEW YORK 2019...

Annabelle Reyes was picking up her daughter Eleanor when the news that Reginald Hargreeves, had 'tragically' passed. It may have been an evil thing to think, but Annie was glad to hear it. Mainly because of the things he did to his 'kids'. Yes, she wasn't on the best terms with Diego, but she still loved him. The only Hargreeves she had spoken to since that night were Allison and Diego. Of course, she cared for them all but they didn't care to talk to her. Ben was dead and Luther didn't even like her so that left Vanya who didn't want to talk to any of them and Klaus who was in and out of rehab. He showed up at Annie's house on Ellie's 4th birthday and he actually bonded with her. They talked for 4 months and he just left again.

"Does this mean I get to see Uncle Klaus again?" Ellie said, with big eyes looking up at her mother. Annie started rolling her eyes thinking of all the trouble Klaus and Ellie got into. He wasn't the best influence on the girl.

"Yes, but remember don't follow him to strange places," Annie chuckled, strapping her daughter in her car seat. They were going to pick Allison up and take her to the Hargreeves' home for the funeral. While Annie might not have been a part of that family, she wanted to be there for Allison, and Diego even though she wouldn't admit it out loud. Plus it was a good reason for Eleanor to see her father and family.

The journey to the house was mostly quiet, apart from Ellie's constant chattering to Allison. Ellie loved her godmother more than most people and most things. Annie was incredibly grateful for Allison, she wasn't sure what she would do without her. It was nice that they had each other. Both single mothers, they helped each other alot.

"Okay, Ellie, we're here," Annabelle said with a soft smile. Eleanor's excitement was noticeable, her little fingers tapped eagerly on the car window. Ellie had only been there a couple of times, both being very short visits to see Grace, whom she was thrilled to see again. Annie was also sort of happy she would be seeing Diego. She was a very stubborn woman. As much as she wanted to be with him again a part of her held her back.

The three entered the large home, happy childhood memories coming back to the women. Ellie began tugging on her mother's hand toward the living room where she saw Grace sitting down, staring into space in front of the fireplace. The few times Ellie met her grandmother were the best times ever for the young girl. Grace being the motherly person she was programmed to be immediately loved her granddaughter. Annie was grateful her daughter had at least one grandparent in her life.

"Hey Grace," Annabelle called out to her, leading her daughter into the living room. Grace looked over and smiled before going back to staring into space. Annie thought it was strange but didn't say anything, taking her daughter upstairs, to Allison's old bedroom.

"Wow, Aunt Alli, your room was so pink!" Eleanor exclaimed instantly jumping on her bed. The two women laughed seeing how energetic Ellie was. Annie thought she might as well let Ellie continue until she tired herself out. Abruptly stopping her jumps, she hopped off the bed and dashed out of Allison's bedroom.
