... New York, 2019

The family, plus Annie and Ellie, had gathered around in the living room. Ellie was sitting on the floor to the right of Diego, playing with her Barbie she had brought with her. Annie was sitting on a chair in front of the fireplace in between Allison and Diego.

"Um... I guess we should get this started." Luther spoke awkwardly, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

"So, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown. Say a few words, just at Dad's favorite spot."

"Dad had a favorite spot?" Allison asked.

"Yeah, You know, under the oak tree. We used to sit out there all the time. None of you ever did that?" He questioned, sounding confused. He was always the golden boy, never broke the rules, and hated sneaking Annie in. Just all around a kiss up to dear old Reggie.

"Will there be refreshments? Tea? Scones? Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner." Klaus said, walking over with a cigarette in one hand and a drink and trophy in the other.

"What? No. And put that out. Dad didn't allow smoking in here." There goes the goody-two shoes once again.

"Is that my skirt?"

"What? Oh, yeah, this. I found it in your room. It's a little dated, I know, but it's very breathy on the bits." He said, gesturing.

"Listen up. Still, some important things that we need to discuss, all right?" said Luther.

"Like what?" Diego spoke up.

"Like the way he died." Said Luther.

"And here we go," Diego said, looking down.

"I don't understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack." Vanya said.

"Yeah, according to the coroner," Luther said.

"Well, wouldn't they know?" Annie said sarcastically looking up to Luther.

"Theoretically."

"Theoretically?" Allison asked, tilting her head.

"I'm just saying, at the very least, something happened. The last time that I talked to Dad, he sounded strange."

"Oh, quelle surprise!" Klaus said while simultaneously gargling his drink, making Ellie giggle.

"Strange how?" Allison asked, ignoring Klaus.

"He sounded on edge. Told me I should be careful who to trust." Luther shrugged.

"Luther, he was a paranoid, bitter old man who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles," Diego said getting up and dropping Ellie into his seat, before walking to Luther.
