You all stood in the living room as William walked through the door

"..what happened-.. to the neighbors house?" He asked questionably

".. IT WAS Y/NS IDEA" all three kids pointed at you as they yelled and then bolted away

"OH COME ON SERIOUSLY? YOU LITTLE FUCKS I THOUGH WE WERE FAMILY??!" You yelled and glared at them as they ran away giggling

You flinched when you turned back to see william closer than he was before

You stumbled back a bit

"Why did you do that to the neighbors house?" He asked curiously

"Uh.. the kids.. wanted me to spend time with them.. and uhm.. they didn't like the neighbors .. so..-"

"So you egged their house?"

"Oh my god- that out there- was amazing love, you're a great influence on them" he chuckled, pulling you in for a moment to kiss your forehead

"I-.. thank you??" You we're shocked

"Oh- trust me, I hate those bastards too.. annoying little shits" he muttered

You chuckled, reaching up to wrap your arms around his neck

"Where were you before?" You asked, looking up at him

"My workshop, I had to check on something" he held your face in his hands

You leaned into his touch

"Check on what?"

"My research.." he rubbed your cheek with his thumb

"Can you tell me about this 'research'..?" You murmured

His eyes lit up
"You want to know about my research??"

"If course I do will" you giggled

He scooped you up and carried you over to the couch, setting you down

"Ok- I'll be right back" he said excitedly, his accent started to slip

"I'll be right here" you smiled, he quickly made his way upstairs, leaving
you on the couch

"he's such a nerd sometimes.." you murmured to yourself, waiting patiently

William came back downstairs with multiple notebooks, which were filled with sticky notes

"Oh god- that's a lot of stuff" you muttered

"It is a lot- but I promise you it's worth it, please read them" he pleaded

"Ok ok fine- I'll read em, " you took one off the top as he set them down, opening it and beginning to read about what he's been doing for the past few months

"..so.. the souls from the children.. that are stuck in the animatronics.. you collected some weird liquid from them, and proceeded to inject it into yourself..?" You stared at the pages as you talked to him

"Yes- you see, i call it 'remnant' and after all the studying I've done, and the tests, I know, it has the power to give a human being, immortality" he explained

"..how do you know for sure that you're immortal?"

"Oh, simple, I've tested it" he smiled

"You've- tried to.. kill yourself??"

"..once or twice- but it was for my experiments!-"

"Will.. Who else did you test this on..?"

"Ah-" he picked up another book, flipping a few pages and handing it to you
"These are all my test subjects, some of them.. didn't make it" the muttered "pathetic weaklings.." he added

You read through the page, surprisingly there weren't many names but one.. one stuck out to you

Next to his name, it said 'Deceased'

"You.. killed nico?!"

"Well not killed.. he just.. wasn't strong enough to survive.." he shrugged

You closed the book and shoved it into his chest

"You killed my friend William-! What the hell!" You hissed

"Now, love-"

"Don't."

William went quiet, a worried look on his face

You sighed "I.. I cant stay here, right now.."
You glanced over at him, before going upstairs, changing your clothes quickly and grabbing a Coat before coming back down and heading for the door

A hand grabbed your wrist
"Y/n come on- you don't have to leave- please, don't go"

"...I'm not leaving permanently.. alright..? I just need some time to myself.." you looked back at him

He had tears in his eyes, staring at you like he was heart broken

I shouldn't have looked back.

"I- William.." you turned around, hugging him

"Don't cry.." you murmured

"Don't leave.." he sniffled

God- he's getting everyone of my weaknesses right now.. I cant leave him when he's like this..

".. fine.. but You're sleeping on the couch tonight" you muttered

"Fair enough.." he sighed

You reached up and wiped the tears from his eyes

"Get comfortable cuz you're gonna be sleeping there for a while, now go clean up your notebooks, I don't want the kids to find those" you shoed him away as you headed back upstairs

..what am I doing.. I'm fucking crazy..
