Florence's POV:
Sam was taking me on a date today. It's been a busy week with all the photoshoots and interviews so to say I was excited was an understatement. I've been asking her every day what we're doing but she will not tell me. She says 'it'll ruin the surprise' it made me laugh really. Her humour was my favourite thing in the whole world.

We had gotten over the whole 'my almost girlfriends father could possibly hurt me to hurt her' after a while, but she still turns her location off whenever I'm around, she's been staying with me whenever she's free.

She was losing her mind trying to keep me safe. It was really sweet but I didn't want her to overdo herself just to make sure in safe.

I couldn't wait for us to have a small break from the rest of the world I was very excited to see her again.

Time skip

I was getting prepared for our date when there was a knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in," I said quietly

I was running a brush through my short hair, I was sitting at the end of my bed looking in the mirror

"Hey sweetheart, I was just coming to check on you" Sam's mom popped her head in the door, I waved her in

She came fully in the room, she saw me and gasped

"You look gorgeous Florence" she smiled wide

I blushed and thanked her, she was stood beside me and looked at what I'm wearing

"You look very good in casual clothing" she looked so excited

"You seem to be more excited than I am" I laughed lightly, she nodded her head and laughed as well

"I know my daughter has probably gone on many more dates before, or maybe this is her first, but to me, I'm experiencing my little girl's first date. It warms my heart to see her so happy with you and so opened, I am really hoping that you two last" she smiled and walked to the door

"Oh Sam called, she's going to be a little late she needs to get gas and a couple of things" she walked out of my room and closed the door lightly

I really liked having Sam's mom here, she was very sweet and always calm. Sam is so much like her but also so different. It warms my heart to see Maggie try to have a mother-daughter relationship with her.

Time skip

It was 6:30 and I was downstairs talking to Maggie about work and filming when suddenly the doorbell rang. I looked at her with an eyebrow raised

"I'm not expecting someone, and Sam would definitely walk in," she said walking behind me as I made my way towards the door.

I opened it and looked around, there was no one there, I looked down and saw a trail of white lilies leading to the end of my driveway. I looked back at Maggie and she just shrugged, I followed the trail with Maggie close behind. It was beautifully laid out

Once we got to the end of the driveway and there was a person with their back against one of the two brick pillars, I took a step back as they started to walk towards me, once they got into the light I smiled, Sam. She was wearing a black ACDC shirt that was tucked into a pair of black ripped jeans and her hair was in two braids. Maggie was still behind me smiling away

"Hello, I'm for someone but I just can't member her name. I forgot everything when I saw you" she looked at me with a fake frown

"Pick up lines? Really Sam?" I laughed

"You don't need to use those on me, Sam, you've already got me" I went over to hug her

She wrapped her arms around my lower back and tucked her head into my neck

"I missed you so much" she whispered

I smiled and rubbed her back. I heard a click, I looked over at Maggie and she was smiling with tears falling from her eyes

"Well we better be going, I've lots planned for tonight," Sam said as we broke out of our long hug

We said goodbye to Maggie and got in sam's car. She held my hand on the gear shift, sometimes she would bring my hand to her lips and kiss it. I thought it was very cute how she was acting.

Time skip

It was only a 25-minute drive and we had made it. We were in the driveway of a house I'd never seen before. It looked to be one story. It was small but cute

"What are we doing here?" I looked over to her and she just smiled at me

She stepped out of the car and nodded her head towards the door. I soon followed and walked behind her

"Welcome to my home," she said as she unlocked the door. I stepped inside and saw candles lit everywhere. Her table had flowers in the middle, two plates on each end, and two wine glasses next to the plates

"Wow," I said under my breath

Sam took off my jacket and hung it up on the coat rack.

"What happened with your other house?" I looked at her as I slipped off my vans

"I moved out of there like a month ago, I accidentally started a fire. It was cheaper to just move than repair the damage that was done" she smiled and excused herself to the bathroom

I walked into the living room and saw a picture of a boy no older than 10 smiling with a medal in his hand. I picked it up and looked at it

"He had just turned 9 in that picture, he won first place in the talent show at his school" she smiled rubbing her hand over the picture

"I skipped last period to go see him perform, which was fine it was a free period for me." She laughed a little

"What did he do at the show?" I asked looking over at her

"He played the piano, something by Beethoven. He did so well when he finished everyone stood up from their seats" she laid the picture back on the shelf

"What was his name?" I asked as we walked to the kitchen

"I would always call him J but his name was Jack" she smiled softly

I nodded my head and sat down. I didn't want to ask too much, knowing it was a sensitive topic for her to talk about

Time skip (again)

We had finished supper and now we were in the living room dancing to 'If You Love Her' by Forest Blakk (its such a good song omg) she had her hands on my waist while mine were placed softly around her neck. I wish we could stay in this moment forever

"I called my mom, I told her she would have the house to herself tonight," Sam said breaking the silence

"I thought you would kike to stay the night? Is that ok?" She asked, I nodded my head and smiled. I was enjoying this night so much I didn't want it to come to an end

The song came to an end and we made our way to her bedroom. We got in bed and pulled the covers over us. Sam had her arm wrapped around me while my head was on her chest tracing patterns on her side.

I tried to stay awake as long as I could to make this moment last long but sleep took over my body.

There was nothing better than lying in Sam's arms as we slept. It calmed my mind and slowed my heart.
