Sams POV:
Long time skip
Macey and I were in the office talking. Florence was off filming a new movie or something like that. She should be done next week though, so talking to Macey was my only option. She told me that all of Florence's team and a few of their friends were having a small party while Florence was out of town since there was nothing else to do. I told her I would think about her offer, knowing I probably won't be leaving the house. I missed Florence dearly, did she leave without telling me? Yes. But it's ok, her schedule is random all the time. It is a lot for me to handle though, things have changed between us. Even when we were in Newfoundland, she barely even spoke to me. I am so confused. Just last week we were fine, weren't we? What is happening to us? We were having a wonderful time and then, one day I woke up and it all changed. She has said 'I love you' to me once in the last month, she hasn't even cuddled me while we are sleeping. She doesn't hug me, kiss me or even hold my hand. What was going on with us? I miss her, and her touch, her cuddles, her lips, her body. God, I just miss her. I don't know why Florence didn't wake me when I am her bodyguard, it is annoying the heck out of me.
"Sam?" I heard Macey's voice. She was looking at me with a worried expression. I've never had the time to actually take in how she looks. I've only seen her from afar or through the rearview mirror. Her eyes are a deep blue with an explosion of green around her pupil, it's a gorgeous sight. Her ginger hair is up in a tight bun, her bangs were covering her forehead, her navy suit making her red lips pop, and her white heels pulling the whole outfit together. Classic color combination. Man did she have great style?
"Sam? are you ok?" she shook my shoulders snapping me out of my thoughts.
"hm? what were you saying?" I tilted my head at her, she had a dumb smile on her face.
"I was trying to tell you who would be there if you decided to come?" I looked at her slightly confused.
"To the party?" she shook her head laughing.
"Ohhh yeah. Um, where is it going to be?" I looked down at the floor while putting my hands in my pockets. Macey put her hand under my chin and lifted it to make me look at her.
"No need to shy away darling" she smirked at me, I don't know what is happening or why it's happening but it's making me feel things that even Florence can't make me-
"Holy shit" I shook my head at those thoughts.
"What was that sweetheart?" she came closer to me, her lips only inches away from my own.
"You know I've had my eyes on you since you walked into that interview. It sucks that Florence got to you first" she pressed her nose against mine, her lips lightly brushing against mine as she spoke.
"You're her best friend why are you doing this?" I said barely above a whisper.
"I've seen how she treats you, little to no respect. She doesn't see the version of you that I see, not lately at least, you know it too," she said as she started to back me into the wall slowly.
"We- we're just having some trouble that's all" I gulped as my back hit the wall.
"Trouble hm?" she smirked pushing her lips closer to mine.
"It's ok to have trouble in paradise," she paused. She walked over to her office door and shut it, once it was shut she the door she walked over to the desk and sit in the chair. I watched her every move, the way her pupils dilated when she had her eyes on me, how the veins in her hands would show more when she would grip something like the door handle or her water bottle. The thought of her veiny hands wrapped around my neck invaded my thoughts and I let it.
