The Spruces of Past Present and Future

I open my eyes and see a Forest. Darkness surrounds us as the place dims and brightens the light slowly for a few seconds. Elizbeth let's go of my hand and her eyes spark as she glazes. Dark black shadowy trees surrond the area. With bright rifts lighting the path. Rifts of many colors. Red, Orange, Yellow, Light Green, Blue, Purple, and Rainbow.

"We made it! I love being here! You don't understand how fun it is! Unfortunately, we can't stay and wander off viewing and admiring all these precious Rifts." Elizbeth goes From Cheery giggly Child to Deppresd Adult.

"Wait where are we again? And how come this place seems so Bizzare? Way weirder and stranger than that foggy creepy forest place!" I Question.

"Oh yeah. I forgot. But let me explain to you what this place is exactly. It's a tiny pocket universe where many different Rifts spawn for some strange reason. My friend Ike found it while traveling the lands. We later locked it and made it so only I and a couple of my trusted Angels can enter the foggy forest and enter this realm. I don't understand it myself actually. Why there are so many Rifts in this dark area filled with nothing. But that's the Universe for you. All dark gloomy and mysterious! At least that's what brother thinks." Elizbeth explains as I observe all the multicolored Rifts.

"Wow. That's fascinating!" I reply with excitement. "So where do all these Rifts take us? And why are we here again?"

"To find a way to get you home remember. All though you will have to tell me some details about your dimension. Perhaps I been there or my other friend Tyler. And yes I know I have many friends but that's life when your Angel Princess." Elizbeth explains, Smiling at the end there.

"I thought Princesses were spoiled and mean and secretly evil?"

"What why would you think that Leo?" Elizbeth askes tilting her head to one side.

"I don't think you wanna know the answer to that." I chuckle awkwardly realizing what it means.

"Okay well get your mind out of the gutters you teenage boy." Elizbeth teases.

I feel embarrassed and called out and just stand there awkwardly as Elizbeth Laughs it off. I tilt my head down hoping she won't spot my embarrassment. I chuckle awkwardly but stop as I rush of sweat fills my face. I was kind of pervy sometimes. But hey aren't all teenage boys a bit you know, thinking of certain passions. While I am thinking of this, something blocks my thinking.

I get distracted. I hear her laugh. It seemed sweet and cute. I can't help but smile back for some reason. I feel a strange connection between us. I stare at her while she laughs and smiles at me. I can't help but feel flustered and blush a bit. Elizbeth stops laughing as she is about to say something out of her mouth but suddenly her expression changes and her smile turns into a shocked face filled with fright.

"Leo don't look behind you! Just stay still and pretend you're a stranger" Elizabeth whispers, Her voice is filled with fright but I don't listen to her. Her voice was too mumbled to understand.

So of course, I was worried so was the idiot I was and I did exactly what she told me not to do. And I decide to turn my head and look back. I regret ever doing that. I turn to see a man. The man. It was the man from the forest. The Dark hair, blue eyes, Furious man I saw earlier.

"You!" The man growls aggressively pointing straight at me.

"Stefan!" Elizabeth utters in frighten voice.

He glances at Elizbeth as Elizbeth shakes and feels scared. Stefan walks closer towards us. Slowly as he clenches his fists and twists his sweaty muscular neck.

"Hahaha Hello there kiddo. Nice to see you again soooooo now what are you doing with Lizzy?" He askes nicely with an evil grin.

"Who?" I asked confused.

"Me" Elizabeth whispered in a shy sad tone.

"Hey! I did not say you can speak Lizzy! Now, kid tell me! What were you doing in that forest anyways! Trying to hide a body huh!? Cause I am not playing any games. And now I am pissed! I am furious! You ruined my perfect plan! Now I have to return before they suspect I am missing! But before I left! I was able to track you down!" He smirks evilly

I don't answer. Which was a bad move cause it just shows I didn't learn from last time. Apparently, I somehow ruined his plan or whatever I did. All I did was try to run away from him and maybe also go into a Rift he told me not to but still! What's the big deal! I tremble in fear as he approaches me. Elizbeth moves to the side. He grabs my shirt and lifts me from the shirt from his gross weird sweaty man's hands and stares at me as his eyes glow up red like fire from an active volcano.

"Stefan get off him he is just a kid!" Elizabeth yells at him as she tries to get me off this man's hands.

At this point, he is just very Furious. He ignores her and kicks me in the gut and I fly away hitting a hard surface rock with my back. It wasn't like a rock, It was a crystal rock that shattered my back or at least it felt like it cause I couldn't get back up. So I just watch as my head gets dizzy.

"Why are you with him Elizabeth! Are you trying to replace me! Is he your new boyfriend now? huh, answer me you stupid slut!" Stefan yells violently pushing Elizabeth to the floor.

She does not answer and pulls out her wings and she looks pretty mad at this point. But also sad? She was looking down and I couldn't see her face. I start to feel my head get heavy and all I saw was a dark shade where her eyes were. I start to sweat. My back starts to ache and hurts even more but I also started to sweat cause I was nervous. I'm lying on the ground on my stomach as he was furiously staring at Elizabeth probably about to fight with her. He kicked me so hard in the stomach I think I might throw up cause this dizziness mixed with pain doesn't bake a good cookie.

Stefan Shouts "Elizabeth! I'll give you one last chance or else you will end up like Leo over there Now tell me Lizzy what... are ... you doing with him! Gone to replace so quick! Just forget about Stefan and replace him with a newer version of him! I am not a toy!"

A few seconds pass. Elizbeth stays silent. She quietly whimpers. Stefan gets impatient and he grabs Elizabeth's hand and pulls her up and whispers to her ear.

"You are pathetic. Just a waste of an Angel you little Bitch! Maybe It was the right choice to do what I did to you! You were supposed to let it happen!" He throws her but she uses her wings so she doesn't fall and hit the hard ground.

Stefan or whatever that jerk name goes into a Red Rift and before he leaves he speaks one last piece of his mind.

"Shhh do not get mad Lizzy I'll be back and when I do expect a familiar face to be here too or at least expect her alone with an army! Also kiddo Leo next time I see you I will break your skull and use your blood as a cream for my sweaty feet! You got!!!" He Yells and smiles. Laughing evilly as he goes through a Red Rift and leaves.

That's when the dizziness takes over and I start to blackout. I have trouble breathing as I see Elizabeth fall to the ground and cry. I keep closing and opening my eyes trying to go towards Elizbeth but I can't and all I can hear is her crying and my heavy breathing. What's happening I start to ponder. The glowy lights of the Rifts around me start to harm my vision. I feel heavy and weak. Elizabeth is on me and shouting Leo! Are you okay! Or something like that. I don't exactly recall but what I do recall is one last thing Elizabeth says to me. Which is:

"I am sorry Leo I am too (blacks out) It's all my fault! (Blackouts) But your gonna be fine I'll take you towards (Blacks out) Come on let's go and stop closing your eyes and reopening them" Her voice echos until it all goes black and my eyes don't reopen for a solid hour.
