⌜ chapter nineteen ⌟
Letty's hanging out at Danny's house again, and the two have been making out on his living room couch. His hand keeps wandering to places that she's not comfortable with, and he tries to push her shirt up again.
"No." The brunette pulls back, breaking the kiss. "Danny, stop. I already told you, I'm not sleeping with you."
"Come on, Scarlett. It's been over a month already." He says as he scoots closer to her. "I think it's time that we take the next step. You know, get a little closer."
"And I said no." She stands up and moves away from him, but he gets to his feet as well. He pulls her back to him as he reaches for her shirt again, pushing it up her side. "Stop it, Danny!"
"Come on, don't be like that." He tries to touch her again, and she shoves him away from her, pushing hard on his chest. "You're just a tease. No wonder that clueless Matthews kid won't date you." He says, and she turns around quickly, wanting to leave his house.
Her leg collides with the corner of the end table by his couch, but she ignores the pain and leaves the house. The rather upset brunette keeps going until she ends up at Eric's house. She didn't even mean to go there, it just sort of happened. Like instinct.
Letty runs into someone — a short someone — in their backyard, and Shawn looks up at her confused. "Scarlett?" He knows that she hasn't been talking to Eric lately. "Are you okay?"
She nods, but her hands are shaking. "Y-Yeah. I'm fine." She lies.
"Mr. Matthews! Mrs. Matthews!" He calls out loudly, and they both quickly rush outside.
"Scarlett?" Mrs. Matthews walks over to her.
"Letty?" Eric pushes past them and runs over to her. "What happened?"
"I'm stupid. I'm so stupid." She shakes her head and wipes tears from her cheeks. "I can't believe that I actually thought he was a nice guy. I'm such an idiot!"
"You're not an idiot." Eric argues.
"Honey, you're bleeding. Come on inside, and we'll get you something to wear that doesn't have blood on it." Mrs. Matthews says, and Eric gives her some of his sweats to wear.
His mom helps the shaky teenager clean the cut on her leg, which is smaller than all the blood made it look initially. Letty tells her what happened and they talk about it for awhile.
"Hey, I brought you some food." Eric says as he walks into his bedroom.
"I'll be downstairs with your father waiting for Cory to get home." Mrs. Matthews tells her son and then leaves.
