Mac's POV
I squeeze Rose's hand as the plane takes off. I know how scared she is but I can't feel any more happy. I honestly think this is the happiest I've ever been in my life. I'm moving to Cali with my best friend and getting a degree in my dream job... Wow. Who knew life could be so perfect. I look out the window and see we're at cruising level. Right on cue, the pilot comes on the intercom and says we are free to move about the cabin. I pull my tray down and get out my headphones. I plug them into my phone and turn it on shuffle. Then I lean back because of the first class seats and let sleep eventually find me.
-hour later-
I'm awoken by Rose's obnoxious snoring. I then punch her awake. "Really Mac? I just got to sleep" she says with a chuckle. "Sucks to suck" I say to her adding on a smirk. Just then the flight attendants come by with our meals. Since it's a six hour flight, we get served lunch. We both finished off our meals and dozed back off to sleep.
I'm woken up again by Rose shaking me. Take it from me when I say I'm a heavy sleeper. "What do you want" I ask Rose while groaning and stretching. "Look out the window!" She says. I turn over to see us descending into a beautiful sunny California. I look over at Rose as both of our eyes water. "This is it" We say in sync.
