Rose's POV
Today was the day! The Jack and Jack photo shoot had finally arrived and I was nervous. "Mac! Get up, get up, get up!" She blinked her eyes at me and then fell back asleep. I had an idea. I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a pot and a pan and then glided up the stair case silently as to not make a single creak. Then I proceeded to jump on her bed. "YEET!" I yelled. I clashed the pans together and she finally woke up. "Shut up alarm clock!" She screeched. She got up off the bed and in the process, knocked me onto the floor. "C'mon Mac. You know ya love me." "Yeah I guess..." She muttered in her sleepy state. I did a happy dance around her as she checked her phone.
"Rose wtf, it's 7:30 in the morning!" "Yes ma'am, we need to be there by 10." Shocked, she ran into the bathroom and started the shower.
I was an early bird when it came to things that excited me. I had already taken a shower so my hair was wrapped up in a towel. I swiftly walked over to my room and started blow drying my hair. Once I was finished, I started adding a beachy wave to my hair. I went over to my vanity and started applying makeup. Since we are in California, I didn't want to look to formal so I opted for a beachy look to match my hair. I used some powder for my oily skin, and on my eyelids, I used a metallic rose-gold color and finished the look with false lashes. The bigger the better!
Then to my closet. "Gosh Dang it!" I muttered. I heard a giggle from behind me and turned to see my best friend looking gorgeous as always. "Did you just say 'Gosh Dang it'?" She asked. "Yup! Be proud." I gave her a shove and grabbed her arm to drag her into my walk-in closet. There were various styles of heels and vans lining the walls and jeans and skirts galore.
I was a 'quote on quote' hipster as I liked to think of myself. I walked over to the jeans and grabbed a ripped pair off the shelf and decided to take a ivory muscle tee with all black vans. Since my hair and makeup were girly, it balanced out the edge of the outfit. I pulled back a couple pieces of my hair and added a black bow to hold it together.
Then I looked at my beautiful best friend's outfit. She was wearing black jeans with a pair of red keds and a matching beanie. Her shirt was dove grey. She had left her hair straight and was wearing minimal makeup like me.
"Ready?" I said. "As ready as I'll ever be." We marched out the door into our rented limo. The driver talked to us about how the shoot was going to go and told us all of the basics. "Good Luck ladies!" He rolled down the window and added, "Don't let those crazy boys scare you away!" Then I remembered a week ago when Jack J had kissed Mac. I reached over and gave her hand a quick squeeze to let her know I was thinking about her.
We walked through the front door in awe. The shoot was at a mansion on the beach. Literally ON the beach. You took one step off the back porch and you found your toes squishing in the warm, white sand.
A manager directed us to the top floor (it had 6 stories!!!!!) and we rode the elevator all the way up. Standing at the door, Both of the Jacks gave us a quick hug, clearly not remembering Saturday night.
They led us over to the makeup and hair consultant (to check our makeup) and showed us the balcony where most of the shooting would take place. There was a white backdrop on one side and the beach for the other side. I hugged my friend and walked off hand in hand with Jack Gilinsky for the first photo.
