Chapter 8

Mac's POV

I take a deep breath as we walk through the doors. I'm nervous because what I haven't told Rose is that if they like what we do, we could get an all expenses paid scholarship to the best beauty school in Cali. We walk up to the desk and show our passes. They gave us special passes so we don't have to wait in line with all the other models since we are also doing hair and makeup. We get to our stations and set up. Then the flood of girls come in. After about an hour of work I think I have adapted to only breathing hairspray and Rose is twenty different shades of skin due to all the concealer. We then clean up and wait by the other models to hear our requirements. "You must be between the ages of 16 and 23" the producer announces which makes one fifth of the group drop their heads and leave. "You must be dedicated" he states "if you win you will be working with us often and normally with the Jacks" I squeeze Roses hand. "But there can only be two, so let's get going." He says as he jumps off his podium. Then the shoot starts. Each girl gets three pictures and three only. And then you go into a waiting room to wait for everyone else. We both get done and are now just waiting for the winners. After about thirty minuets the producer walks back in and begins his speech "We've had multiple amazing entrees but sadly we can only choose two. But before we announce that I would like to say a huge thanks to Mac and Rose for doing hair and makeup! Now we are proud to announce that they have revived a full scholarship to the beauty school of California!" Rose looks at me with disbelief as I just smile and nod me head. "And we would also like to announce that they have won the competition!" Both our jaws drop right to the floor and we just stare at each other for awhile until I eventually hug the living crap out of her. "Welcome to Cali." I say to her.
