"Oh my girl, it's been such a long time." The elderly woman sighed, brushing her daughters hair out of the face inconspicuously trying to pull her away from the odd man that slept near her.
She knew Robert said she had quite a few strange roommates, but never this strange.
"Where is my grandson?" She asked looking up at the Argentinian, hidden worry lacing her words.
He smiled down placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "He's fine, he's sleeping in his room right now. He locks it every night." He understands her worry. It's a harsh world, he learned from experience as well.
He ever so carefully slid his arms underneath his sleeping roommate, looking at her mother for permission. Once he got a hesitant nod he slowly brought her up to his chest, his body vibrating in soft laughter as she instinctively curled into his body heat.
He jumped, holding the Y/N tighter as a harsh shriek from nearby resonated in his head. He snapped his head back seeing America walk into the room with a bird on his head? "Are you serious? She's sleeping!" He hissed quietly at him, glaring.
The others mouth open to respond before the white feathery mass talked for him. "Fuck you! God bless America! Damnit woman where's the remote!"
America sputtered out a disbelieving but joyous laugh. "That is so fucking awesome. I am so promoting this bird to congress. I bet this little bastard would actually finish meeting. Gonna replace Mitch McConnell with this parakeet."
"Oh yes, that bird has quite the mouth on him! He's always repeated Benny's words, I try to get him to stop but he never does!" She laughed, hiding her smile behind her frail hand. She looked at bird and then her daughter. "Oh, these two were inseparable. Y/N raised from from the egg, she loved him so much and he loved her. Captain, come here!"
The bird perked up hearing his name, spreading its wings and nearly ripping Americas hair out as it flew to the elder woman's wrist. He slid down her arm to rest on her wrist, raising its talon to sweep back Y/N's hair. He opened his beak to make kissing sounds, lowering his head close to her face. "Oh, pretty Y/N. Muah muah muah! Pretty Y/N!"
Argentina only stared at the bird in wonder. The winged biped almost reminded him of Mexico drunk out of his mind. "Let's get her to bed, she's been very busy. Needs all the rest she can get."
As he started walking the elder shuffled behind him, radiating good vibez. He then stopped at her door, the soft snoring inside like an invisible barrier. He tilted his head to look down at Sarah, whispering. "Listen. Don't freak out, but I get it if you do."
He motioned for her to creak open the door, continuing to whisper. "Someone sleeps in her room, and he is like us but not like us. It's weird to understand, but please be patient. We'll explain everything in the morning. Let me go in first, I don't know how he'll react."
"He? My daughter is sleeping with someone finally?"
He propped Y/N up to where she was holding onto him like a koala, her head buried in the crook of his neck while holding her as if she was merely a child. The size difference, him being like a fucking palm tree, made it easier for him to safely hold her while one hand reached for the door knob.
Halfway turning it he stopped, quietly listen to the noise subside in the room. He cursed, peaking his head in the room. "I know what you're fucking doing, asshat. Put the weapon down, I'm holding Y/N."
Third blinked, lowering the heavy book in his hand he was about to throw. "Why are you holding her?"
"Okay, possessive much? She isn't your doll, Reich." Argentina scoffed, walking into the room and carefully placing the sleeping woman on her side of the bed.
