Mckayla's POV
It has been a little over 4 years since Alastair and I started dating and we were both finally graduating. MJ was graduating with us but Lucas and Mark were not going to graduate until next year, James and Carly had graduated last year. And my brother Marcus graduated a little over 2 years ago and had turned 20 in March. He had started college to become a Veterinary Technician about four months after he graduated. The rest of my family is still basically the same except that Michael had found a girl that he likes named Angela. So now the only one left in my family that was single was Marcus and he seemed happy to be that way. He would probably the one who waited to find someone to date unlike Mary, our parents, and I did. Michael had a girlfriend in college but they broke up after she cheated on him a year later.
I didn't plan to dress up for my graduation ceremony since my parents were throwing me a party after, so I dressed slightly fancy but not much. Alastair had dressed fancy with a vest, blazer, and tie type of outfit with jeans. He was super excited because his brothers were coming along with his father. The queen and the rest of his family couldn't come because they were sick, had duties, or something else but Alastair didn't seem to mind since his brothers were coming. My parents and my brother were coming along with Mason but Mary wouldn't be coming to the ceremony but she would be at the party.
The past 4 years had been an amazing rollercoaster ride so far but I loved it. I had finally met William's girlfriend Catherine or Kate as she goes by. I asked if anyone had ever called her Cat and she told me no, which surprised me. I loved her though and the relationship she had with William was adorable. I didn't know if Harry had a girlfriend yet, but he seemed pretty happy living life. The world has been speculating if Alastair would be announcing an engagement soon or if we were breaking up since the beginning of last year. We didn't tell the public much about our relationship besides photos or other small things as Alastair wanted to protect me and keep the media away from the both of us as much as he could. Alastair had given me another ring as a promise ring that he would marry me in the future, just not right away. I didn't mind waiting and felt that we could develop more as a couple the longer we were together before getting engaged and married.
