                                          Chapter 6
                                    Blue & Red Blood

Richard and Gavin stood outside a shop, Richard smoking a cigarette while him and Gavin talked about the plan. Since they couldn't find the girl yesterday, the team, Richard, Gavin, Connor, and Hank decided to make a new plan. Gavin and Hank dug deeper, searching through profile after profile for information on the girl or the gang. Richard and Connor took note of everything the androids said, building a plan slowly. After gaining enough information, including a spot where the girl would meet with willing buyers for the drugs she had. The group had made the plan that going undercover would best. Richard decided to be the one to go undercover while the others waited nearby. Connor and Hank waited just around the corner, meanwhile Gavin would by watching from above since he can climb and jump so well. As the team got in position, Gavin climbed up to a roof, keeping an eye on Richard once at the top. Connor watched Gavin climb, impressed with it. Hank could jump, but he hadn't seen Hank do anything like that yet, and if Hank had done it, he of course didn't see it. Richard glanced up and Gavin, Gavin noticing. Gavin smirked, crouching on the edge of the roof. Richard smiled softly before looking ahead of himself again. After a bit of waiting, the girl started to approach them. Richard looked down at the ground, starting to act. Gavin backed up a bit, not wanting to be seen, but still keeping an eye on the two. The two began to talk, the girl being a bit cautious but acting like everything was fine. "You don't look like the type to want to buy drugs, what are you? Some kind of cop?" She joked. Richard scoffed. "What if you're the cop?" He joked too. The girl rolled her eyes before reaching into her hoodie pockets. "How did you find me anyway? Did someone tell you?" The girl asked, looking at Richard's hair and outfit. "Yeah, a friend told me." Richard responded. The girl seemed to be taking note of everything, observing him. She took out a bag of what looked like red ice, Richard looking at it. Gavin sat up a bit, getting ready to pounce. The girl handed the bag to Richard, Richard acting like he was going to take it before reaching into his pocket and pulling out his badge. "I fucking knew it." The girl said, starting to back up. "Addyson, I recommend making this easy and just coming with me." Richard spoke. Addyson put the bag back in her pockets before starting to run off. Richard motioned for Gavin to pounce. Gavin leaped off the roof, landing on the ground. Richard gave the signal to the others before following after Gavin and Addyson. Addyson heard Gavin's footsteps, feeling they were too fast to be a human's. She glanced behind her, seeing Gavin. Gavin's LED started to swirl to red as he smiled. Addyson felt the panic rise in her, her heartbeat increasing and the adrenaline rushing through her. As she heard the sirens starting to close in, she rushed into an alley way. Gavin followed close behind. Connor stopped the car, getting out with Hank, Richard following alongside them. The three followed behind Gavin. Gavin hopped onto a garbage can before immediately leaping off of it, getting close enough to grab and pin her. Addyson kicked, trying to fight back the android. "You son of a bitch!" She yelled. The others caught up, stopping once they got there. Addyson stopped kicking, staring at Gavin. "You stupid fucking android." She growled. "I'm the stupid one?" Gavin smirked. "Gavin, come on." Richard glared at Gavin. Gavin rolled his eyes, slowly getting off of her as Connor and Richard grabbed her, lifting her up. "Wait, you're deviant!" Addyson yelled at Gavin. "You're a fucking deviant, and you still have a job as a cop?!" She continued to yell. "So is he." Gavin responded, motioning to Hank, who nudged him in response. "So you both can feel?!" Addyson asked. "That doesn't matter to you, you're coming with us." Richard said. "No! Get the fuck off!" She said before starting to fight again. She managed to swing her leg high enough to knock Connor back, causing both Richard and Connor to let go. The girl hurried off, Connor catching himself. The team continued to chase after her down the alley. Gavin continued to lead, Hank following not to far after him. The girl reached into her pocket as she exited the alley, grabbing a sharp pocket knife. As Gavin got closer, she turned around, slicing at his face. Gavin trying to shield himself caused not only his nose to be cut, but part of his arm too. He stopped running, Connor hurrying pass him after the girl. The girl gripped the knife, trying to swing at Connor. Connor grabbed her arm, keeping his face away from the knife. "I didn't want to hurt you guys, but you pigs have to be so annoying!" She said, breathing heavily from running. "You wouldn't have to deal with us if you stopped doing everything you do!" Connor responded. Richard checked on Gavin, who was watching the blue blood drip into his hands and onto the ground. Addyson looked over at the two. "He deserved that, just because he fucking exists!" She glared at Connor. "Just like you deserve, let's say, a few years in prison. Not just for drug trafficking, but attacking law enforcement." Connor responded. "No!" Addyson yelled before starting to fight again, trying to wiggle herself loose from his grip. She dropped the knife, catching it with her other hand. She swung the back towards Connor. Connor tried to grab her arm but ended up get hit with it, causing him to let go and back away in pain. Addyson took off. Hank decided to check on Connor instead of chasing the girl. Blood dripped from Connor's temple. Gavin finally covered his nose, the blue blood smearing onto his hands and dripping down his mouth. "Bitch." He spoke finally.

Gavin sat in a chair next to Richard, touching the area that been cut. "God dammit." Richard mumbled to himself. "What's wrong?" Gavin asked, looking at Richard. "Everything!" Richard said, sounding pissed. "Jeez, okay." Gavin responded, scooting slightly away from him. Richard sighed. "Sorry. I'm just-" he began, but stopped, trying to figure out the right words. "Worried?" Gavin said, looking at Richard. "Yeah." Richard said, looking down at the ground. "Connor's okay. It wasn't that bad of a hit. He could've been hit by something much worse." Gavin said, trying to reassure Richard. "I know he'll be okay, but-" Richard looked over at Connor. "He's not the only one I'm worried about." He continued, whispering. Gavin looked at Connor then Hank, confused. "Are you worried about Hank too?" He asked. "Hank didn't take any hits, did he?" He continued to ask. "I'm worried for you, Gav." Richard spoke. "Gavin, sorry." He said, correcting himself, remembering what Gavin had said about being called Gav. "You can call me Gav." Gavin began. "I was just upset then. I don't care what you call me." He continued. "Also I'm okay. A simple cut to me isn't that bad." He said, looking down at the ground. "You looked in shock back there, are you sure you're okay?" Richard asked, looking at Gavin. "I was shocked because someone got an attack on me that I couldn't block in time. I guess I got too cocky and thought I was indestructible." Gavin responded. "I'll be fine." He said, looking up then at Richard. Richard stared at Gavin for a moment before looking at Gavin's arm. He reached his hand out, wanting to look at the damage on his arm. Gavin hesitantly reached his arm out. Richard looked at the wound that showed through the torn Cyberlife android hoodie Gavin was wearing. "That small knife can do damage, can't it?" Gavin joked, trying to lighten the mood. "Yeah." Richard responded, staring at the wound. He let go of Gavin's arm before hesitantly reaching for Gavin's face. He made Gavin look at him, looking at the cut on his nose. Gavin looked at Richard, a blue tint slowly growing on his cheeks. Richard noticed, tilting his head in confusion a bit. "Are you blushing?" He asked. Gavin's LED swirled to yellow. "What?! No!" He said before forcing himself away from Richard. "Androids can't blush!" He lied. Richard chuckled. "You were blushing!" He started to laugh. The blue blush on Gavin's face grew brighter. Hearing him laugh was nice. "You're an asshole!" Gavin said. The two seemed to have forgotten about the pretending to be a machine thing. "Wait, look at me again! It's honestly kind of cool!" Richard said, reaching over to Gavin again. Gavin hesitantly looked back at Richard as his LED swirled to red. Richard noticed his LED. "Wait, is this upsetting you?" He asked. "Red means strong emotions, not just anger." Gavin responded, glancing at the ground then back at Richard. "Androids are interesting." Richard said. "So are human." Gavin responded. The two stopped when they heard a familiar voice clear their throat. They both looked at who it was, seeing Sarah and another officer. Sarah crossed her arms. "So, is he-" she began. "Yes, he's deviant." Richard interrupted her, looking away. Sarah nodded and sighed. "How long has he been deviant?" The other officer asked. "For six days now." Richard responded. Gavin looked away, starting to worry. Sarah noticed their worry. She thought for a second before turning to the other officers who had been listening in on them. "If any of you bitches tell Amanda, I will out all of your secrets to her!" She said, glaring at the certain officers she suspected would actually tell. Richard and Gavin immediately looked back at her, shocked. Sarah turned to look back at the two. "Anyway." She smiled. "The coffee is ready if you need it! Gavin, how about we fix up those cuts the best we can?" She asked. Gavin nodded before him and Richard stood up. Sarah led them to the break room.
