Julie is 16, she lived her whole life in an orphanage in New York City today she got adopted. It was a very strange moment for her because she never even thought of being adopted, mostly little kids get adopted. Nobody wants an older kid.

She is staying in a big tower in the middle of New York. It has floor to ceiling windows and big open spaces, modern interior and a lot of marble, like a lot. She hasn't even met de person who adopted her, and yet here she is with one bag with all her belongings. Her white hoodie, two shirts, one pair of jeans and het favorite stuffed animal, Bunny. She only has one pair of shoes, her iconic red chuck Taylor converse. She's had them for a long time already, she doesn't grow that much anymore.

Julie! a voice snaps her out of her thoughts, a woman with flaming red hair and striking green eyes walks up to her. "Hey I'm Natasha Romanoff, but u can call me nat"

"Hi, I'm Julie" I say a bit taken aback. "do you know where I am supposed to go? I don't know what to do" I look at my feet, feeling a bit scared by the intimidating woman in front of me.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't be here any sooner sweets, im the one that adopted you. Surprise?" She says, a bit ashamed of herself.

I look up shocked, why did she adopt me? why me? There is nothing special about me, and here I am standing in one big ass tower with Natasha fucking Romanoff in front of me. "that's okay, thank you for adopting me?"

"of course, here follow me to your room then you can get settled"

I walked after her, we stepped in a big elevator and went up to the 93 floor. "okay here we are, this is our floor. We have our own kitchen, living room, dining room, play room, 4 bathrooms, en 3 bedrooms" she stopped in front of a door. " This is your room, mine is right next to yours and out bathrooms are connected" She opened the door, I immediately froze when I saw it. There in the middle of the room stood a crib, a full sized crib. The bedding is pink with white flowers and blue birds on it. I looked at Natasha if she saw it to, but she didn't gave any sort of perplexed reaction. I walked in and put my bag on the dresser. I was too afraid to ask about the bed, I can't be ungrateful now, otherwise I could be back at the orphanage in a heart beat.

" I'll leave you to get settled now, feel free to look around. I'm in the kitchen, just give me a shout if you need me" With that she closed the door behind her.

There I stood, in the middle of New York, 300 meters up in the air. In a room with a flopping crib that I can fit in. Thats not my bed right? I need to admit, it is a beautiful crib with charming white bars around it, at the top the bars curl up into white flowers. But I could't accept that that crib was for me, I'm 16 for gods sake! The bars where too high to get in on my own and to get out, I'm quite petite for my age and that was not good in this case.

"Julie! Food is ready!" I heard Natasha yell from the kitchen. I quickly made my way to the kitchen. When I arrived my eyes almost bulged out of my head. There stood a white high chair in all it's glory.

"Hey kiddo, we're eating Mac and cheese to celebrate u coming home" She smiled sweetly at me. "Here let me help you get in the chair" she walked up at me. I quickly stepped two steps back.

"No no no thank you, I can sit on a normal chair. I smiled embarrassed. I tried to sneak past her but she grabbed me by my arms and hoist me up on her hip.

"Don't think so sweets, you are too little. It isn't safe" She patted my bottom and walked to the high chair. I was completely frozen, I didn't know what to do. Natasha clicked the table part off of the chair and placed me in it. "here let me strap you in" She grabbed a strap between my legs and clicked it in place around my hips, she grabbed the table again and plopped it on. "So here we go" She walked back to the kitchen to get our plates.
