"Having a warlock at my Institute is one thing, but a mundane with full knowledge of the Shadow World through your father who is supposed to sit in Edom? I cannot and will not tolerate such a breach of the Accords!"

"Alexander Lightwood, for the last time, I told Alia nothing about the Shadow World! I have no idea why my father chose to provide her with full knowledge, but it is not my fault!"

"We'll see about that. Lucius, stay with these two and make sure they don't escape"

Alec stormed out of the room, something he did often these days, leaving Alia, Ana, and Lucius alone.

An awkward silence followed.

"They are going to put you on trial, you know." Lucius said tentatively, trying not to pull her wrath upon him.

Ana glared at him. She was beautiful. But unfortunately, she was horrible to be around, hated everything that had to do with the Shadow World, and had the habit of literally shutting up everyone who even looked at her. Alia though seemed to have a different effect on her. She was nicer, more patient. Whenever Alia asked anything about her, she answered it without hesitation, and truthfully.

"I know that they'll try, but Lucifer is my father after all, and he is here because of me. He won't leave without me"

"What?!" Alia yelled. "You are going to hell with your father, who is a complete jerk by the way, just because? I don't know what the man in my flat did to you, but you are not leaving!"
Suddenly Lucius understood.

"The man in her flat is Magnus." he stared at Ana. "What have you done?"
Ana snapped her fingers. Alia's head drooped. She had passed out.

Before he could do anything, Ana thrust him to the floor. Her eyes burned with anger.

"I wasn't planning on making a confession in front of you, Shadowhunter. But for Alia's sake, I will. I have made my choice, I am leaving with my father, my real father, and you can't stop me. Shadowhunters think that everything is their business, that everything has to do something with them, but, newsflash, it doesn't. I have the right for revenge, and no petty law of yours can forbid me to do so. I did not ask to be pulled in here, be involved with the Shadowhunters, and I don't plan on making you a part of this. Magnus spent his life lying to me, about everything! My father, what my powers meant. He was just so obsessed of making me a version of him. He was afraid of dying, afraid he might not be remembered, so he used me. He stole almost every warlock mark i had, forcing me to keep them hidden forever. He robbed of everything, and I think that I deserve revenge. My father came to me after I finally managed to leave him and told me that I could fight back. Since then, we have planned out every detail. I stole his magic, because he stole my marks. I will steal him from his Shadowhunter lover, because he killed mine. Funny how life is fair, huh? Take care of Alia, help her. I hope we never meet again, Lucius Herondale."

There was a burst of fire, and she was gone. Alia was cowering on the floor, shaking.

Take care of her

"Can you stand?" he asked. Alia nodded and got to her feet. She glanced around the room, like she didn't quite know why she was here.

The door of Ana's room burst open, and Alec stood there, his face full of dread and pain.

" Where is she?"
"Home"
