Part four

Y/n's POV:
After a long 2 hour drive to the lake we were staying at you had finally arrived, the road trip was filled with karaoke, fake arguments and sleeping. It was just past 5pm and we were all starting to get hungry so we decided that Jayla and me were going to get wood for the fire and make food whilst everyone else would set up the tents.
"So when did you move to Atlanta?" Jayla asked as we were walking through the forest to find dry wood
"I moved a year and a half ago from the uk when I was 13, my moms an astrophysicist and got a job opportunity over here at a university to teach some students the basics on it."
"The uk? Why would you move form there?, do you still have friends and family there you talk to?"
"I didn't really know many people in my school, I was to scared to make friends but I had one really close friend Sam there , we've been friends since we were 4, we don't talk that much anymore" I said remembering the good memories I had with her making me kinda upset that she wasn't here with us anymore, the truth is that she had died days before we left to go to Atlanta, she was the closest person to me she knew all my secrets and I knew all of hers, there's nothing I wouldn't do to bring her back.
"I'm sure you'll see her again one day"
"Yeah, probably not" I said quietly So she couldn't hear me.
"Have you always lived here then?"I asked changing the subject
"Yup, I don't know wether I'd want to live here when I'm older though it gets pretty boring living in the same place all your life, I want to go to Asia I feel like there's lots of things to do there."

Javon's POV:
I was helping Jonah (y/n's dad) set up my tent, there were 7 of us and 4 tents that could fit 2 people in them, we hadn't arranged who would sleep with who yet but I wanted to be with y/n cause I know we would have so much fun scaring each other at night.
"So when did you start boxing then?"jonah asked me
"I started when I was 4, my dad took me to the gym and I have just been in love with boxing ever since"
"I'm glad you met my daughter, she's had a rough time lately since we've moved"
"You moved?,where did you live before?"
"We moved from Britain, she was 13 when we moved and she'll be turning 15 next month in April, your 15 am I right that's what your dad said"
"Yeah I'm 15. Being on set for euphoria, isn't as good cause I know I'm not living like the other teenagers, I hardly know anyone my age apart from boxing, so meeting y/n was really great and I love being friends with her, I already feel like I've known her for years"
" well she's quite an interesting person and there's a lot to know about her. Some good some bad but You should try talking to her she doesn't talk that much about her life with anyone maybe you'll be able to be really close friends I think it's what you both need" Jonah said hesitantly. When he said this it made me wonder about y/n what was good and bad about her? I definitely want to know more about her and if I can I want to make her happy, I know I can't do that myself but maybe being close friends is what we both need and it can help us both.
I was just holding the peg down on the tent whilst Jonah was getting the hammer when I saw Jayla and y/n coming back with the wood I waved at them with my free hand and smiled, they walked over to me and Jonah and asked where they should make the fire. We decided to make it a few metres from the tents but close enough so that they warm up to sleep In.
We had now finished the tents so I went to help them start the fire and cook the food.

Everyone POV:
Everyone was now sat around the fire with their hot dogs, we decided to choose where we would all be sleeping before we went for a walk to watch the sunset
"I think it's decided that the parents will share a tent"Y/n said
"Obviously" my mom said with a hint of sarcasm
"Ok what else then?"
"I dibsy having my own tent" Jaden said
"Why that's boring, plus your more vulnerable to us pranking you in the middle of the night" jayla said
"Yeah I know but I like it like that so I don't Have to put up with Javon's loud snoring" Jaden said laughing while Javon went defensive pleading that he did not snore at all.
"Ok then well since your good friends y/n and Javon can go together, and then jayla and daelo can go together since they are the youngest and oldest?" My dad said knowing that me and Javon both secretly wanted to share a tent but was to scared to say
"I'm happy with that" me a Javon said in unison making everyone look at is making us go red
"Awwwwww the two best friends sharing a tent for the first time" jayla said putting air quotes over 'best friends' causing everyone around the fire to laugh at us. Me and Javon were extremely embarrassed but we were laughing as well knowing to right what she was exactly right with what she said.

Y/n's POV:
When we were all finished with dinner we decided we would go and get our stuff to put in the tents. Me and Javon were together the whole night as we were now walking along up to the car to get our bags trying to trip each other up.
"Stoppp Javon I'm going to drop my phone if you don't quit it" I said between laughs but he took my phone out my hand and started recording which distracted me when he put him foot in front of mine causing me to face plant the ground
"WHAT THE FUCK JAVON?!" I shouted
"Smile for the camera y/n!" He said.
Caught completely off guard I stood up and brushed the leaves out of my face
"You better sleep with one eye open cause I swear you will not get away with this"
"Oooh y/n is that a threat? How dare you threaten me, Javon the almighty who is faster than you"
I attempted to trip him up again but failed so we decided to truce and not do it anymore but I knew 100% that I would get payback on him.

Now that we had gotten our stuff back from our car we went into our tents and got into our pyjamas, me and Javon changed separately though for obvious reasons. I was wearing my favourite pyjamas that my friend Sam had got me before, they had stars on the joggers and the shirt had a meme on it of keyboard cat but with fireworks in the background, it was a joke gift for my 13th birthday but it ended up being my last birthday with her which is why they are my favourite pyjamas because maybe now it's like a piece of her came on the trip with us. Javon said I could come in now since he was dressed and we just got in our sleeping bags and talked about how crazy today had been, jaden decided to join us since he felt bored on his own which was fine since he was really funny to be around but as time went on he left and me and Javon stopped talking as much until he said "I can't wait to know more about you y/n this has been the best day of my life, I really want to be close with you" hearing this made my heart Jump knowing that he felt the same as I did, I felt at comfort with him, like I could be myself which didn't happen very often "I would really love that, I feel like I can be myself around you, I haven't been close to anyone since I moved" I said quietly second guessing wether he would take me seriously but to my surprise he responded saying "do you want to talk about the whole moving thing tomorrow, your dad suggested that you don't often talk about your life and I want to help you be more comfortable with me, I want to know more about you, you're a very interesting person?"he said which took me back, my dad told him about my friend, no I know he wouldn't but I have a feeling he's going to find out maybe this is a good thing "I think I'd like that" I said "me too"
After a few moments of silence we both said goodnight and went to sleep.
