Ｔｈｅｉｒ ｓｔｏｒｙ

Part 1

Nate started at a blank wall he didn't know what he was staring at or why? But he just kept staring for like about a good 5 minutes until his childhood best friend Cameron touched his shoulder.

From as long as Nate can remember they always stuck together he was the only person Nate ever trusted with his life. And cared about..

C: "dude you been staring at some wall for a few minutes now you good?"

Cam says then sits down beside Nate. Of course Nate felt he couldn't hide anything from Cameron and just let out a long sigh.

N: "thanks man"

Cam looked confused.

C: "thanks? Um..for what?"

N: "for being with me for so long."

Cam was surprised by Nate's words because he usually always had some stubborn attitude or just in a bad mood. He seemed happy? Or some feeling Cam couldn't quite place but it felt off.

So Cam lightly touched Nate's back.

C: "you seem off.."

N: "I'm just thinking"

C: "thinking of what?"

N: "...nothing important I just..hope we stay friends forever."

Cam smiled then playfully shoved Nate.

C: "dude are you shitting me? Of course we will stay friends, we're like umm.. peanut butter and jelly!"

Nate smiled softly.

N: "that was so fucking cheesy but..yeah we're peanut butter and jelly."

C: "c'mon dude don't be boring and stare at a wall let's go do something."

N: "do something?"

C: "yeah man, let's like go eat ice cream "

Cam says jumping up fast pulling Nate up as well. Which made Nate smile.

N: "you idiot your fucking lactose intolerant.."

Cam and Nate kept talking while they walked. For some reason Cam's stupidity and liveliness is just what Nate needs. Cam is like Nate's light bulb every time he's around him his happiness goes up.

Nate and Cam finally just decided to watch a movie and eat snacks. But while watching the movie Cam falls asleep on Nate's shoulder. Nate didn't notice at first until he heard him snore. The snore made Nate's heart beat a little fast.

N: "oh.."

Nate muttered. He didn't know if he should move or not. Seeing cam sleep on his shoulder made him get a closer look at his face. He realized how nice he looked but Cam slowly started opening his eyes again. Making Nate look away.

N: "you idiot you fucking fell asleep on the best part"

Nate shoved Cam up making him yawn.

C: "shut up dude this shitty ass movie sucks."

Cam said before he got a notification on his phone. Making Nate and Cam both look at the phone.

C: "huh? I got a notification but I don't even know who this is.."

N: "block them."

Nate said coldly but Cam opened the message.

C: "hm? It's a girl's Instagram picture."

Cam showed Nate. She had straight blonde and sharp blue eyes. The sight of the image made Nate jealous and he groaned.

N: "block her."

Nate says coldly again which made Cam look surprised.

C: "Do you know her?"

N: "no? But like..you shouldn't talk to her"

C: "why?"

Nate choked on his word for a second rethinking what he was gonna say then sighs.

N: "trust me.."

C: "..."

Cam looked at his phone then back at Nate.

C: "she didn't even do anything wrong tho? Isn't that a bit rude.."

Nate groaned and got up.

N: "Whatever you do what u want I don't care I'm going home."

C: "h-huh- Why?"

N: "my mom needs me, I'll see you later."

C: "w-wait!"

Cam got up and grabbed Nate's wrist making his heart flutter a bit.

N: "...what dude"

Nate regains his senses.

C: "at least let me walk you home. It's what we always do man.."

N: "no- I'll be fine."

Cam looked a bit worried.

C: "Are you sure? I don't want you to get hurt or anything?"

Nate looks away then clears his throat.

N: "my home isn't even far away...I'll be fine dude chill"

Cam slowly lets go, still a bit worried but nods.

C: "fine...just um text me later okay?"

Nate nods at Cam, then slowly grabs his book bag and walks towards the front door. He sits down to put his shoes on but looks back.  Cam isn't there he probably went to bed or something. Nate thought but a few seconds later he stopped thinking about it.

He finished putting on his shoes. And opened the front door walking out closing the door behind him before he walked away.
