Raindrops

Chapter Five

Nature needs to turn off it's alarm clock. I can hear birds chirping and can feel the warm sun on my face. Though it probably wasn't nature that woke me up. It could be the dull warm pain I feel all over my body or the voices I hear in the distance.

Wait. Voices. Ugh go away. I'm trying to sleep here.

I roll over get away from the sun on my face in hopes to get a few more hours of precious sleep.

"You're awake." My mate says and I can hear his heavy footsteps get closer to the bed.

My high hopes for more sleep are crushed with those words. I groan.

"Go away." I grunt out.

"You're in my bed. In my room. In my house. In my pack. I am not going anywhere." he says with his stupid smirk.

"Well then---" I begin.

"Don't even say that you'll leave because first of all I'm not even sure you can stand, and second you are mine princess. So end of story."

"I was gonna say I thought it was our stuff but whatever." I say sarcastically.

"Smartass."

I smirk and hear a laugh from the doorway.

"The pack doctor is hear to give you some drugs." He says.

"Hi Luna Sky. I have some medicine to help with your pain but it won't last forever. For today it will keep the pain away but it's gonna make you loopy. Like if you were high...... Anyway, this isn't a long term fix." Says the doctor.

I can feel two sets of eyes on me as the doctor ends her sentence.

"What?" I turn to look at them.

"The only thing that will permanently fix your problem would be.... Ummm marking or...... rejecting..... or uh...."the doctor said very uncomfortably.

I nod and look at my mate.

"Thank you doctor Lin." My mate says to the doctor.

The doctor then proceeds to pull out the largest needle I have ever seen in my entire 19 years of life.

"Holy shit! I don't want that thing anywhere near me." I say and try to get as far away from that torture device as possible.

My mate chuckles lightly. "You're scared of needles."

I give him the most evil eye I possibly could.

"This is the only thing that will keep you from going into heat." The doctor explains taking a few steps towards me.

"Do you need me to hold your hand." My mate says holding out his hand to me with a smirk on his face. God I hate that stupid smirk.

"Oh shut up. But yes." I say reluctantly and take his hand.

The doctor puts the needle in my arm and I squeeze my mates hand. He rubs his thumb over the back of my hand in a light soothing way.

"All done. So you have about 15 minutes until the drugs kick in. Just let me know by tomorrow morning if you're gonna need another dose." She packs up her things and walk towards the door. "Also Alpha, males that haven't found there mates in the pack may not be able to control their selves around her because she doesn't have your scent yet."

My mate nods with a tight jaw. "Thank you doctor Lin."

Doctor Lin nods and leaves us to ours selves. My arm feels warm where the doctor stabbed me. The heat is going away though so that's a good sign.

"Well you should take a bath before you get too loopy and I have to give you a sponge bath." My mates says letting go of my hand.

"Oh you wish lover boy." I say and head off to shower.

Quietly I hear him say. " Oh you have no idea."

I work through my shower routine having to use the male soaps which I assume are my mates. I bet he's gonna love this. Well unless it messes with my natural smell that he loves so much. I wonder what I smell like to him. I need to ask. Eh why do I care.

I get out of the shower and feel a little dizzy. Oh great I think the drugs are kicking in. Today is gonna be fun.
