It's raining again.

The trees look refreshed and bright.

I take a deep breathe and smell the wet earth. Rain makes everything good and calm. God I love the rain.

It's been two days since I meet the pack. People have come by to meet me personally and to bring me treats. One woman brought me homemade brownies and they were absolutely delicious. I hope she brings me more.

Other than that everything has been surprisingly uneventful. Ash has been working in his study with Ben a lot so I stay in room or find myself in the library. His library is massive, though I could use a little more romance books if you ask me.

Right now I'm sitting out on the porch with a book in my hand. It's one of the few good ones I found in the library. It's a romance of course. Two people who have hated each other forever fall in love it the best way. That's why I like these types of books. I read them because I want to know what brilliant way the author makes two unlikely people end up in the same bed. It's silly but it makes me happy.

The rain is heavy at this point and I can no longer resist the urge to sit in it and let it soak my body. I place my book down on the porch swing and make my way onto the lawn. I find I comfortable patch of grass and sit down.

At this point the rain is heavy like I were sitting under a waterfall. I lay my head back and let the water hit my face. It washes me. Cleans me of my pain. My worries. The rain wraps me in its arms and holds me close.

I don't know how long I sat out here in the rain but I know it will end soon as I hear the door open.

I hear wet footsteps approaching from behind.

"How long have you been out here?" My mate asks.

"Not long enough." I reply.

My mate bends down and puts his hand on my cheek. "Your cold to the touch Sky. You need to come inside before you get sick."

I open my eyes a look up at him. "Five more minutes?" I ask even though I am starting to get cold.

He gives me a stern look and bites his lip. "Sky-" he starts, but is cut off as we both she a shadow move in the distance.

My mate stares into the forest for a long moment watching and listening closely. I try my best to keep my breathing quiet.

Suddenly a big wolf leaps into the open and snaps his jaw at my mate.

Ash is quick to react. I'm the blink of an eye he has transformed into a wolf. He is big and his fur is the same dark color of his normal hair.

My mate growls at the intruding wolf and stands in front of me protectively.

The bad wolf looks familiar. He looks like the one I saw the night we went to dinner. He been watching us. Waiting. Why didn't he attack while I was alone?

I begin to scoot back towards the house but this causes the wolf to pounce on my mate.

They claw at each other a fight. At this point I'm on my feet and running towards safety. But another wolf cuts me off. This one is smaller than the other but still deadly.

I scream causing my mate to turn to me. When he turns the wolf he was fighting latched on to my mates neck.

I gasp and fall back. The wolf in front of me growls a runs at me but stops before he bites me.

Behind me I hear my mate growling.

The wolf my mates is fighting is losing. It's about to end.

Suddenly I am picked up by a naked man and the wolf in front of me is gone. The man is familiar. Bad familiar. I attempt to scream again but I am cut off by a hand over my mouth.

"Shut it bitch." The man growls and starts to run with me in his arms.

Behind us I hear my mate let out the loudest growl I have ever heard. I try to get out of my captures grip but I fail as he hits me over the head. I see spots in my vision.

I shake my head and try to make out where I am. We're near the edge of the pack. There's a car in the distance.

When we reach the car the man holding me throws me in the backseat then climbs in next to the driver.

"Go!" He yells at the driver. "Chase isn't going to make it, he dead. Now drive, the alpha is right behind us!"

The driver slams on the gas as my mate breaks through the tree line. He's covered in blood and his wolf his breathing heavily. He's too late though as we pull away. Tears roll down my face as my mate lets out a roar.

I sob quietly in the backseat of my captures vehicle. The men in the front are talking but I don't know what they are saying.

A million things run through my head. How did he find me? Is he going to kill me? Is my dad with them? Will I ever see Ash again? Is this the end for me?
