"Kang Haewon. Do you like her?",asked Heeseung, looking into his eyes.
"I don't think we are close enough to disclose my personal things to you.", Sunghoon crossed his arms over his chest.
Haewon paused after walking a few metres away from them.
She walked back towards the boys laughing in disbelief,"HEY ! JUST BECAUSE I SAID THAT I AM GOING HOME , DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU WON'T EVEN TRY TO STOP ME !"
Heeseung chuckled heartily,"I was about to."
Sunghoon's lips curled to form a smile.
He always found her so cute.
She heaved a sigh,"Let's go the arcade."
"Right now?",asked Sunghoon.
Heeseung massaged his temples,"No. Five years later."
Haewon giggled, rushing towards the arcade building.
The two boys followed her closely.

"HEY. WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD AT BASKETBALL?",Haewon was annoyed with Heeseung's win for the third time.
"We need skills to win.",he ruffled her hair.
She sighed, glancing at Sunghoon,"Why aren't you playing anything?"
He seemed quite embarrassed,"This is my first time...here."
"WHAT-",Heeseung got startled,"ARE YOU FROM THE JURASSIC AGE OR WHAT?"
Haewon held his hand,"Then, you should enjoy here. Let me show you the games!",she flashed a tender smile.
She wished him to be happy.
"Haewon! Do you need that plushie ?",Heeseung pointed to the claw machine.
She felt so happy and her heart fluttered as he asked her that.
"CAN YOU GET IT?",she excitedly questioned.
He nodded,"Of course ! Wait and watch .",he kind of flexed and made his way towards the machine.
He moved the controller and was successfully able to grip it but the plushie got released.
"I will try again.",he drew in a long breath.
He tried five times but failed every time.
"It's okay , Heeseung...",Haewon clutched his shirt sleeves, lightly.
"Let me try.",said Sunghoon taking over the controller this time.
"It's so hard .",Heeseung seemed frustrated.
"I got it.",the other boy focussed on the claw as it slowly dropped the plushie in the counter and got hold of it,"Here. Take this."
Haewon's happiness knew no bounds,"THANK YOU SO MUCH . THIS IS SO CUTE!",she hugged the plushie and then, wrapped her arms around him.
Sunghoon's cheeks flushed. He hesitantly raised his hands to hold her close. The side of his lips curved.
Heeseung's gaze explored the two friends and he found himself sulk.
Haewon pulled away, flashing a smile at him.
"Let's head home now.",Heeseung turned his face towards the exit door.
Haewon and Sunghoon blinked, following him out.
"EH? IT'S RAINING!",she pointed out.
Heeseung heaved a sigh,"I don't like rain."
"I like it. The sound of the rain hitting against the ground. It's somehow so soothing and calming.",spoke Sunghoon gazing at the vast blue sky. He then, lowered his gaze and looked around,"There is a departmental store here. Let me get an umbrella."
"Sunghoon, it's fine!",Haewon glanced at him.
"Wait a little.", he rushed towards the store, disappearing from their sight.
Heeseung and Haewon stood under the little shade with silence falling over them. She stretched her hand out feeling the raindrops pass through the gaps between her fingers.
Her lips formed a smile.
He gazed at her side profile feeling his heart warming up .
He immediately looked away, "What is wrong with me...",he mumbled under his breath feeling a sudden change of heartbeat.
"Shall we go under the rain?",she let out a soft chuckle.
"You will be drenched ."
"It feels good sometimes.",she ran out from under the shade and broke out into a heartfelt laughter feeling the rain fall against her skin.
"Haewon- You will fall sick!",he shouted.
She closed her eyes , dropping her head back,"So refreshing."
Heeseung ran towards her holding her hand,"Haewon...Come on. You will catch a cold."
She opened her eyes making their gazes meet,"Heeseung...stay here for sometime and let all your worries and bad memories flow away along with rain."
He stared at her travelling into her eyes.
Love , care , affection. He could sense all the emotions he had been longing for.
He took a step closer to her.
Kang Haewon. Something seemed so special about her that day.
Leaning his face closer , he placed his soft lips over hers kissing her tenderly.
And just like that, under the rain the two best friends have kissed that day.
Sunghoon gripped into the umbrella tightly as he witnessed his crush and her best friend kiss .
Another lady whom he cherished so much ended up, drifting away from him.
He stared at the ground staring at the rain drops slowly disappearing into the puddle of water.
