A/N sorry to interrupt your reading experience but if you could go back to book one and read the first chapter that'd be great!
So now I'm going to assume you didn't do that and I will give you the information.
In the first chapter of book one, Falen gave birth to three kits; Milkkit, Patchkit, and Timberkit. This is the beginning of the book, at which point, Stonestars kits are somewhere around 1-2 moons old.
Eventually Icekit and Snowkit (Stonestars kids) are made apprentices, somewhere around chapter 10. So naturally Falens kits should be made apprentices shortly after but you get to the end of the book and they're still kits. It's been at least 10 moons.
So go to Book two and they're listed as apprentices. No ceremony. They're just there. Patchpaw, Milkpaw, and Timberpaw.
After a while Icepaw and Snowpaw are made into warriors (Icestorm and Snowcloud) and so Falens kids should obviously be next.
Nope.
So skip to book three, Heatherfurs kits and their friends are all apprentices, everyone's vibing, things are good.
Milkpaw, Timberpaw, and Patchpaw are still apprentices.
Book four comes around and they're still apprentices.
They don't even have mentors listed anywhere. I have a whole chapter for notes on specifically who is the mentor to who and they're not in there.
So it's been at least 20 moons by this point since their birth, they're just hanging out as apprentices, doing their thing. Guys, it's time. It's time they become warriors. Everyone please just, just congratulate them in the comments. They worked hard for this. They spent at least 10 moons in that apprentice den.
Everyone, please give a round of applause as I present to you: Milkpaw, Patchpaw, and Timberpaws warrior ceremony.
"Where's Ceaderstripe?" Fadedwing glances around Cocoapaw.
"She's back at camp, the kits should be born any day now," Cocoapaw bounces for a moment.
"Nice!" Fadedwing smiles, "gonna be so cool when they meet all of us."
"She's wondering if they'll be born with any powers," Cocoapaw begins, "though if they do that may not be a good sign-"
"True," Fadedwing nods.
Suddenly Cocoapaw is bumped into from behind and lurches forward.
"Sorry!" Ravenpaw stands up, wide eyed.
She glances to Quailpaw and Gingerpaw standing up beside her.
Cocoapaw laughs, "you're ok," he smiles.
Fadedwing bumps his shoulders and he looks away from the three apprentices.
"C'mon guys, let's go see Ashpaw and Frostpaw," Ravenpaw nods towards the Frostclan cats as they enter the clearing.
After a few moments the leaders call for everyone's attention.
Oakstar shares his news first, telling everyone of the recent news in Treeclan.
"It is with my deepest sorrows that I announce the passing of our beloved elder; Midnight," Oakstar bows his head as sighs of grief and words of sympathy sound through the clearing.
Oakstar steps back and allows Stonestar to speak next.
"I also have an important announcement," Stonestar steps forward, "I'm sure you all know our apprentices, Timberpaw, Milkpaw, and Patchpaw."
The cats in the clearing make way for the three to come to the front.
"You three have suffered so much in your life," Stonestar begins.
The three glance at each other in confusion.
"What does he mean?" Fadedwing asks Cocoapaw.
Cocoapaw just shrugs, "they've been apprentices my whole life-"
Stonestar continues, "the three of you have been forgotten by your clanmates on many occasions. I can't say I've ever even been on a patrol with any of you."
The cats in the clearing all murmur to each other.
"Your apprentice ceremony was delayed," Stonestar sighs, "and you've been apprentices for at least 12 moons..."
Cats in the clearing gasp and start shouting at Stonestar.
"And so, I see it fitting that you now, finally, get to choose your own Warrior names," Stonestar announces, ignoring the shouting from the other cats in the clearing.
The three cats run up to the leaders position, Milkpaw in the lead.
"I would like my warrior name to be Milkbreeze!" Milkpaw calls out.
"And I wish for mine to be Timberfall," Timberpaw announces.
"And mine will be Patchfern," Patchpaw steps up.
The cats in the clearing hesitate for a moment before Cocoapaw calls out the first name.
"Milkbreeze!" He calls out and Fadedwing joins him, "Timberfall! Patchfern!"
Everyone calls out the names a second time before the gathering continues.
