Ceaderstripe lays in her nest, thinking hard, trying to start a vision.
"Why isn't it working?" Her voice breaks.
"I don't know," Burntwhisker runs his tail along her spine.
Ceaderstripe breaks down, "I just want to have a simple vision, communicate with-"
"Froststar," Burntwhisker's voice is bitter.
"Burntwhisker-" Ceaderstripe looks at him, tears blurring her vision.
Burntwhisker gets up and leaves silently, his tail thrashing behind him.
"Burntwhisker!" Ceaderstripe cries.
Hemlockheart looks at Ceaderstripe sympathetically, "maybe your visions will come back-"
"I'm worried he won't come back!" Ceaderstripe buries her face in the moss of her nest.
Hemlockheart shifts in her nest "Frostst-?"
"No!" Ceaderstripe groans, "Burntwhisker!"
Dawnlight sits in her nest studying her sleeping kits.
"Sorry," Ceaderstripe sighs, lifting her eyes to look at Dawnlight.
"I don't know the whole story," Dawnlight looks away.
"Its not what Burntwhisker makes it sound like," Rubyfur mews from her nest.
Ceaderstripe and Hemlockheart both sit up and look at her in surprise.
"I spent a lot of time with him for a little while..." Rubyfur trails off, "and obviously we talked and... he told me what he thought about Ceaderstripe and Froststar..."
Ceaderstripe looks at the moss in her nest, "me and Froststar never-"
"I know," Rubyfur half smiles, "I'm sorry-"
Ceaderstripe shakes her head, "Its fine."

Froststars POV

"Still frustrated?" Bluewish asks.
"I haven't gotten a vision since we got back!" Froststar complains.
"Well isn't that a good thing? Nobody's in danger?" Bluewish tilts her head.
"Well usually I can communicate with Cea- the other prophecy cats using them," Froststar sighs.
"What do you need them for? You've got your clanmates, everything's going fine, life's good," Frostherb shrugs.
"Yeah..." Froststar pads out of the den.
"I'll tell you when Iciclefur is awake," Bluewish calls after him.
"Thanks," Froststar heads to his own den and plops down in his nest with a sigh.
I wonder if Ceaderstripe had her kits yet... Froststar wonders.
He lays his head down in the moss and waits for Bluewish to come get him.
After a while Iceiclefur pads into the den, pushing through the lichen in the entrance.
"Bluewish says you're still frustrated about your visions," Iciclefur sits a couple tail lengths from Froststars nest.
He sits up as he goes to respond, "I just- I miss being able to communicate with them. I haven't even heard anything from Heatherfur."
"You miss your friends," Iceiclefur smiles.
"Well I've still got you and Hazelstripe here, but- yes, I miss the others," Froststar sighs.
"Did you see any of them at the gathering?" Iciclefur asks.
Froststar shuffles his paws in his nest.
"You didn't speak to any of them?" Iciclefur tilts her head.
"It was nice getting to just see them. Hazelstripe says they're all doing fine," Froststar shrugs.
"Thats good," Iceiclefur nods, "so you've at least spoken to her."
"We went on border patrol together yesterday," Froststar nods.
"Nice," Iciclefur nods.
"Hey Froststar I-" A grey she-cat pushes through the lichen, "hey Iciclefur," she chirps.
"I was just about to go, Dovesong," Iciclefur smiles, "I'll leave the two of you to chat."
"You don't have to go," Dovesong tilts her head slightly.
"Its alright, I promised Frostherb I'd go with her to the herb garden," Iceiclefur assures her.
"Oh, ok," Dovesong nods.
"Stay safe," Froststar calls as Iciclefur leaves the den.
Her tail flicks behind her and then she's gone.
"I was wondering," Dovesong begins, "do you think you'll get your visions back?"
"I don't know," Froststar sighs and sinks into his nest, "I really hope so."
