'why am i here...'

here you were, at the Angel's Share. sitting alone with Kaeya in a secluded corner of the tavern.

of course, you two were originally sitting at the bar, but you moved.

Kaeya was getting too drunk and kept annoying Diluc. at first, watching the both of them bicker was funny, but then it got out of hand with Kaeya insulting Diluc too personally.

"Kaeya! don't say that! Master Diluc, i'm really sorry on behalf of him. i'll make sure this blueberry-looking idiot stops bothering you." you said while hitting Kaeya's head.

with your apology being said, you lifted Kaeya by putting his arm around your neck and dragged him somewhere far from the bar counter.

when you finally seated him down, on a secluded table on the second floor, Kaeya started pouting. "my drink..."

"right, i totally forgot about that."

you went to fetch his drink. but upon your return, he was already causing more trouble. there he was, flirting with some lovely ladies.

"how are you two lovely ladies holding up tonig-"

you dragged him by the ear. "Kaeya! go back to your table and stop causing problems."

the once giggling and blushing ladies were now turning their backs while glaring at you.

"he just had to have a girlfriend..." they mumbled.

after seating Kaeya by force back to your table, the drunk man started pouting again.

"how... com-" *hick* "how come you're not jea-" *hick* "jealous?!" he shouted the last word.

"huh? what do you mean?" you asked.

the man only sighed. "how come you're not jealous when i flirt with other people?!" he shouted again.

"Kaeya! stop screaming!" you whisper-yelled.

his head was now burried in his arms. the latter being rested on the table.

"see?! you just keep avoiding my question." Kaeya pouted yet again.

you hit his head again. "you're way too drunk. let's get you home."

"no... i wanna stay..." *hic* "here in the tav-" *hic* "in the tavern..."

"ok but you have to stop making so much noise." you said.

"Y/N."

"hm?"

"answer my question. aren't you jealous?"

"no i'm not."

"why?" he asks again.

you were dumbfounded. "what do you mean why? i should be the one asking that. why do you think i'd be jealous?"

"because i'm flirting with other women!"

"so? you always flirt with everyone- even me- and besides, it's not like we're dating. so i'm not in any position to control your relationships??"

Kaeya hums "is that so?"

"yeah."

"well then," he pauses and gets closer to you. the both of you sitting next to eachother. his face a few millimeters away from yours. he was only staring in your eyes.

"well then?" you ask him, pressing him to continue.

"how come i get jealous when you talk with Diluc, even though we're not dating?" Kaeya admitted. looking into your eyes hopefully.
