you were getting ready to go ice-skating with Zhongli. originally, your friends were supposed to join you, but they canceled last minute because of stuff they had to get done. leaving the two of you alone for the day.

when you finally finished getting ready, you left your appartment and started making your way to the metro station.

when you suddenly were stopped by a car honk behind you. the black car parked next to the sidewalk you were walking on, infront of some random clothing store.

you turned around to see the car and as the window of the driver seat slid down, a smile grew on your face.

"Zhongli?" you asked.

"Y/N, get in." he smiled as well.

you got in and fastened your seatbelt.

Zhongli looked at you before starting his car again. "how are you?" he asked.

"i'm good. excited for ice-skating today."

"i am glad to hear that. are you ready to go?" Zhongli questioned you again.

you nodded your head and turned your upper-torso towards the road infront of you.

Zhongli put his left hand on the steering wheel, and the right one on the back of your seat. he turned around to look behind the car to get out of his parking slot. his face awfully close to yours. you could smell his cologne. he smelled like vanilla and... tea? it was quite hard to distinguish.

you slightly backed away at the sudden gesture.

Zhongli turned his head to you and spoke "i apologize, am i invading your personal space?"

"no it's alright, just caught me off-guard that's all."

he simply smiled at you and turned back around. the brunnette started turning his steering wheel.

he drove you two to the public ice-skating rink.

when you two arrived, you each wore your skates.

Zhongli stood up and reached his hand out for you. "let's go." he smiled gently.

you held his hand and followed him to the skating rink.

"have you ever skated before?" he asks before entering the rink, still holding you incase you lose your balance.

"i don't think so." you replied, not minding his loose embrace.

"alright well, i guess i'll just have to teach you."

you smiled and jokingly bowed. "well mr. Zhongli, i look forward to that."

he only smiled as he pulled your hand and then you into the rink. he held your waist and looked at you in the eyes. "balance is very important. try to keep it as best as you can." he kept on rambling with his explanations.

"uh... Zhongli?"

"yes Y/N?"

"i don't think i can process all that information..." you admitted while looking away. it was embarrassing because the poor man had spent at least three whole minutes explaining. only for you to not understand anything.
