✿ Unique Charm - Part 4✿

"I thought you said it had its unique charm.. Unique Charms attract, not repel!" I said.

The sight was too disgusting for my feet to set in, but I had to deal with it. It seemed like a rundown building that was rejected by everyone. There was no sense of fun inside whatsoever.

"Wonderful isn't it?" He said, ignoring what I had just said. "So true! So wonderful indeed!" I said sarcastically. "Do come in." He says, as I slowly brought my body into the dirty old building.

"Staying here would at least keep you out of the rain. I'm going to my office to do some paperwork. If you ever need me, just head there, alright?" I nodded. "Make yourself at home! Although don't go wandering around the school. Farewell!" He said, while closing the door.

Once he left, I quickly opened a portal. "Thank you human for helping me back there!" Grim thanked me. "No problem! Would you like to stay with me here?" I asked.

"Really?" He asked in disbelief. "Yes really, just make sure to not get caught. Alright?" I replied. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He said as he gave me a warm hug. A hug.. something I haven't gotten in years. I give my appreciation to him despite being quite annoying.

I decided to head near a window. The night sky is truly beautiful, all the stars which shine their light to me.. they're my comfort.

Unfortunately, a flash of thunder interrupted my peaceful moment. 'Sigh' "I hate rain." I said.

"Kya! The roof is leaking!" Grim squealed. "Oh.. so it is." I said. Knowing I could easily make something to fix it, my energy was drained too much by what happened earlier.

"Use your powers to fix it!" Grim said, in a panic.

"Why don't you? You want to become the greatest magician in the world, right? Anyways, I can't. I'm too tired for it, and I'll pass out if I do use them." I said, in a hazy tone. "Ughhh" He groaned. "Instead of relying on magic, why don't we make use of existing things? Being resourceful is good. I'll go find some buckets somewhere here..

I went to the pitch black hallway.. It made chills run down my spine, thankfully I know a quick and easy spell to give off light. Not too tiring. "Lumos" I quietly said, as I started walking down the hallway. Each step was filled with fear, and nearing the last step, 3 ghosts suddenly appeared before my eyes.

I stayed in my spot with a smirk on my face while the ghosts were laughing. I laughed along with them. "HAHAHAHAHA! Why are we laughing?!" I said, the art of confusion is amazing.

"We haven't had a guest in so long.."

"I've been itching for some action."

2 ghosts said, seems like trouble. Behind me, I started to hear slight footprints.. as I saw Grim walking towards me. "What's taking so lo-" He was cut off due to the amount of fear installed in him."GYAAAA! G-GHOST?!?" He said, and quickly grabbed onto my leg, hiding behind me.

"We've been looking for more ghost pals. How about you guys?"

"Apologies but I'm too good for you all." I said, confidently, arms crossed.

"Grim the great magician isn't scared of some ghosts!" Grim isn't the best liar. He shot out some blue flames, but missed each shot. "Over here!" A chubby ghost taunted Grim.

"Shoot! Stop disappearing!" He gave another blast but yet again, missed.

"Grim, how about I give you directions? If you'll allow me too, I can give you 7 cans of tuna every day." I said, in an attempt to bribe him.

"S-seven?" He stuttered. "Fine! You got me!"

"Alright then! TO YOUR RIGHT!"

*time skip*

"Way to go Grim!" I praised him.

"We make a pretty good team huh? Let's chase them outta here!" Grim said, confidently.

The ghosts kept coming back, as each retreated. I hope my energy will still last long enough for my light spell to continue.

"Pretty fun isn't this, huh?" I asked Grim.

"Sure is, Lio!" He responded. Lio? Hmm... Lio.. a nickname? I've never been called by a nickname at all..

Maybe the people who annoy us the most might be the people who create the best experiences for you.. Like what Grim had done, for me.
