✿ Passing Time - Part 9 ✿

Your Pov

Sigh "Grim, I specifically asked you not to cause trouble didn't I? What part did you not understand?" I asked, as I carefully wiped quite a bit of dust from an unused classroom.

"Don't let people like Ace provoke you. Or else, It'll just cause havoc once again."

"Mhm.." Grim muttered as we nearly finished cleaning the classroom.

"Can we head to the cafeteria now?" Grim asked, as we just finished cleaning the classroom. "Of course, you can go first. I'll do something very quick." I nodded, as Grim started heading off.

"Better do this quickly before he could cause trouble." I muttered to myself. "Ashes of Creation." I quietly said, as 7 cans of Tuna appeared in front of me.

I put the cans inside my bag, as I started sprinting to Grim.

"Your 7 tuna cans for the day, Grim." I said, once we reached the cafeteria.

"Yayy! Good thing you kept your promise, human." He said as he took a mouth full of tuna.

"It's a simple task, so of course I'd keep it." I replied, as I took out an Apple and Milk Tea from my bag.

"Ehh? You'll only eat that?"

"I don't even know if I'll eat it. I don't have much of an appetite today, but for the sake of my health I'll try to eat." I replied, as I started taking small bites into my Apple. "After we eat, let's head to the library? We could get some knowledge there based on magic." I asked.

"Good idea, human!" He said. Unfortunately I was only able to finish my Apple. I kept the Milk Tea in my bag just in case I got thirsty.

Heading to the library, I heard numerous students gossip about me. Nothing too bad, but to be honest... There were quite a bit of unrealistic things.

We entered the library, as Grim started roaming the sections for books. I decided to take a short nap considering the fact we'll need quite a bit of energy for the next coming minutes.. Or hours.

I woke up from my nap with a little bit of time left. Considering how Grim was so focused on his book, I decided to leave him alone for now as I explored around the school.

Sigh "I really hope the dorm is doing well.. I swear if someone has to go back a year, I'm going to scold them so badly.." I quietly muttered to myself while roaming the courtyard.

Admiring the exterior and interior of the buildings, I accidentally bumped into someone.. Someone familiar.

"My apologies, I didn't see you there!" I exclaimed. "No worries! Oh! You're the girl who saved me during the entrance ceremony!" I looked up, to see the boy with a sweet smile, along with another person beside him.

"Oh?" I replied. "Jamil, she's who I was talking about! Oh wait- Nice to meet you, I'm Kalim Al-Asim! It's very nice to meet you again!" He said, with a soft smile followed by a slight giggle. "Oh, and beside me is my best friend, Jamil! Jamil Viper!" He's such a warm person, he gives soft vibes to me inside.

"Nice to meet you, Jamil."

"You too." Reminds me of my old self, to be honest.

"Anyways, I'm running quite late for my duty. I'll see you guys sometime soon, farewell!" I said, as I started trailing off.

Before I could leave the courtyard, I heard a voice.

"Isn't she pretty!"

Followed by a sigh.

Kalim's pov

"Isn't she pretty!" I told Jamil. I'm not lying, she's really so pretty! Even if I got to see her only for a little bit, it was so easy to tell!

Jamil sighed, as he told me "Yes.. Indeed. Also, are you aware that she's part of the Verenden family?" He asked me, well think I've heard of it before, not sure.

"Hm? Verenden family?" I asked, confused.

"The Verenden family is the most prestigious family. They hold some of the greatest wizards and witches in their generation." He explained it to me.. So cool! So I basically met a celebrity?

"Wow! So we just met a celebrity?" I asked, as Jamil nodded with a soft sigh.

"Come on, class will start soon. We don't want to be late." We started rushing to our class.

That girl.. I hope to meet her again soon!

"Hey, Grim. Let's head to the cafeteria now?" I said, as I reached the library to see a focused Grim. "Sure! Come on, let's go. We shouldn't be late!"

As we reached the cafeteria, we waited.. and waited for Ace to come.

"I swear if he ditches us, I'm going to punch him in his head.. Maybe that'll knock some sense into him." I muttered. Sure, his 1st impression to me was really.. surprising, no romantic feelings or anything haha.. But after that whole thing, I'm flat out furious.

Me and Grim waited and waited, as we did things that helped in Passing Time.
