"Uwaa! So cool! This is Main Street?! I didn't get a good look yesterday. But what's with all these statues? All 7 of them look pretty scary." I looked at Grim with an entirely shocked face. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE GREAT 7 ARE?" I asked Grim, in a very surprised manner. He shook his head. "Well then, let me tell you"
"This auntie, here, looks especially self-important, see?." He said, pointing to one of the statues. "That's the Queen of Hearts! My 2nd favorite if you ask." I said.
"Oh? Is she important?" I nodded.
" In the old times, she was the Queen who lived inside the Rose Maze.
She's a strict person who respects discipline, and she wont forgive any disorder among the Trump Soldiers' advance, or in the roses' color.
Even though it's a country full of insane guys, they're all in complete obedience to her.
Why, you ask?
It's because disobedience to law, and it would be "Off With Your Head!"" I said.
"That's terrifying!" Grim expressed his fear.
"Not to me" I replied.
'It's cool! I like it!" Me and some boy said in sync.
I turned to my back, to see a boy who seems to be a freshman, has ginger hair and a red heart on the left side of his face. "Nobody would listen to a Queen who's nice all the time, right?"
"I suppose, a strong leader is better." Grim agreed.
"Personally to me, a leader should be balanced with both being strict, and polite." I added, although they didn't pay attention to me.
"By the way, who are you?" The monster asked.
"I'm Ace, a freshman here. Nice to meetcha!" He said, with a very cheerful tone, and warm smile, with his eyes closed.
"I am Grim. A genius who will become the greatest magician! Oh and this is-" I cut Grim off by quickly using a spell to shut his mouth.
"Veliora! It's a pleasure to meet you too!" I said, introducing myself while holding my hand out. Thankfully I remembered to keep my last name cut out.
3rd pov
The boy opened his eyes to see one of the most beautiful girls he's ever seen. Her hair is well maintained, her eyes are a beautiful shade of purple, and she's even got a great personality. The heat on his cheeks slowly grew while reaching for her hand.
He started blushing a bit more, but soon shook it off.
"Your name.. Ace.. Like the Ace of Hearts? I'm guessing you're in Heartslabyul then!" She jokingly told the boy.
"Yeah! The Ace of Hearts, coming to steal your heart too~" He jokingly flirted with the girl, as heat started to feel up her cheeks too, she quickly shook it off.
"Really? Then prove to me that you're truly worthy of stealing my heart." The girl said back, until a certain creature interrupted the adorable moment.
"Nyaa! Stop flirting with each other! And don't you dare mute me again! Come on, Come on.. I have questions!"
The 2 faced the opposite ways out of embarrassment until Grim filled in the silence. "Hey, the Lion over there with the scar. Are they famous?"
Your pov
"Of course!" Me and Ace said in unison.
"He's the King of Beasts who ruled over the Savanna.
But, he was not born-king. He was a hard worker who took over the throne with a scrupulous plan he made by himself.
After he became King, he proposed to live together with the hyenas, who were hated by everyone, too, without discriminating them." Ace had explained.
"Nyaa! people who don't get swayed by social status? Cool!
Who's the auntie with the octopus legs before him?" Grim said in amusement.
"She's the Witch of the Sea who lives in a cave in the depths of the sea.
Her purpose was to help unhappy merfolks.
If you pay the price, she'd help you find a solution to any of your worries, starting from desires to change oneself to love troubles!
There aren't any wishes she can't grant.But, I heard the cost was a bit expensive, though.
If it's to grant any wish, then it's natural, don't you think?" I had explained.
How amazing would it be to grant people any wish? I would use it for good if I did have that ability..
"Nyaa!! So you're saying, if I become a great magician.. I could become rich too??" He said, stunned.
"Not what I meant, but think what you want to." I replied.
"Oo, what about the man in the big hat over there?" Grim asked, once more. "The Sorcerer Of The Sand" Ace had said. "He was a cunning Minister who worked under a foolish Sultan. He was even able to see through a swindler who tried to fool a Princess by faking us status as a Prince! After that, he then got a magic lamp and became a really powerful Sorcerer! Through that, he then became a Sultan." The boy explained to the curious creature.
"Ooo! So it's important for someone to have a keen eye!" The monster had said.
"Nyaa! This lady is so beautiful!" Grim said.
"She's the Beautiful Queen! My 3rd favorite. Everyday, she checked a magical mirror for her beauty ranking "Magic mirror on my wall, who's the fairest of them all?" Was a daily saying for her. She was said to be the most beautiful person, and she won't dare to hold back if she falls from that number 1 position. She's also quite an expert at making poisons." I said, enthusiastically.
"She's pretty but.. Hehe, no thanks." Grim said, in slight fear.
"You think? But isn't it cool how she'll never give up?" Ace added.
"It truly is, determination and strong will are 2 key points to success." I said.
"Over there! The guy with fire, who's he? Just the sight of him is giving me chills." The creature asked.
"Lord of The Underworld!" Me and Ace said in sync.
"He ruled a land filled with evil spirits on his own. Meaning he's a super powerful person! He has a scary face, but he is a sincere person who did his work without a vacation. Because of his sincerity, he even got Cerberus, Hydra, and the Titan family to fight for him!" The boy said. His story is quite a thriller, if there was a movie for him.. It would definitely be one of my favorites!
"Ooo.. So to not become haughty even if you have a lot of strength is a good thing! Now lastly, what about the one with horns?" Grim asked.
"The Witch of Thorns! My forever, and number 1 favorite!" I said, enthusiastically and swiftly since I wanted to beat Ace in explaining her to Grim.
"She lived in a Mountain filled with demons, known as the Magic Mountains. Noble and elegant, compared to everyone among The Seven, no one could ever match her power. Her magic, and curses are the number 1! She can do things, such as manipulate clouds to bring storms, and even fully cover a Kingdom with Thorns! I look up to her a lot.. Considering, she could possibly be one of my ancestors. Plus, she has quite a large scale of magic! Oh, and she could also turn into a dragon!" I said.
"Woahh! A dragon! All monsters look up to them." Grim said, in shock.
"They're so cool~ Unlike a certain raccoon here. Anyways, Veliora.. You said she could be one of your ancestors?" Ace asked me.
"Well.. Possibly? I once took a magical DNA test and It said I've got some blood which relates to her. Possibly a coincidence, but who knows?" I replied.. I really hope I am even just 0.1% related to her! It would mean, I have a chance of becoming as great as her too.
"Oh? I should take that test too, maybe I'm related to one of The Great Seven too!" Ace said, jokingly.
"You know your legends pretty well, Lio." The boy said.
"Lio? Both you and Grim call me Lio now~ Anyways, yup.. I do! My peace is spent in reading books, the first book I read was about them. I kept on reading it all over again due to how mesmerized I was, to the point I probably memorized each and every word of the book." I replied.. As Ace's warm, and sweet smile.. Suddenly turned into a mischievous look.
"Unlike a certain raccoon.." Ace cut off his sentence, as Grim started to grow his anger.
The boy suddenly bursted into laughter.
"HAHAHAHA! I can't hold it in anymore.. Oh my gosh!" Ace said words, in between laughter. "You were the guys who caused chaos in the entrance ceremony! You were summoned by the Dark Mirror although not fitting the requirements.. And you, the monster even trespassed! It took everything I had to not lose it at the ceremony. Despite all that, you couldn't even get into the school and only work as janitors! Plus, you don't even know the Great 7, how ignorant can you be?" Well, you're dead meat now, faker.
"At least we'll leave a mark in History. Unlike you, who'll never be known and will only be a mere student of Night Raven, just like those many many years ago. The Dark Mirror called me in because I'm special. The only reason you were called in was because of your History of Magic. Even staying at the school is an accomplishment and at least we work harder than your lying face. Also you're a freshman aren't you? You're not in the right position to speak like that at all in front of a Sophomore. I know my magic more than you, and if you'd like I'll perish you into ashes while you fall into an eternal world of darkness. How ignorant can we be? Less ignorant than your straightforward, misbehaving, lying mouth. I'll cut your tongue off if I need to, with no hesitation." I said, in rage.. Making the boy stunned, with tears starting to fill his eyes.
"Yeah! That's right!" Grim added.
"I'm not sorry for saying those things. You should be the one who is sorry..." To be honest.. I know I was quite rude in saying that.. I kind of would like to apologize, but I'm not wrong, so I just indirectly asked him to apologize first.
"Fine... I'm sorry.. Please don't cut my tongue off" The boy said, wiping the tears off his face, quietly. Even though his words may not look sincere.. Hehe, you could say I can feel the guilt in his voice.
"I won't, but I would like to. Anyways, you'll be late for class, you should go now. Unelss, you'd like to be scolded.. Considering how strict the Heartslabyul dorm leaders are.." I quietly said the last line.
"Haha! Alright, keep the school squeaky clean you two.. Bye!" Ace said, while leaving off to his class.
"Come on Grim, we've got work to do."
Ace's pov
'Damn, she sure is a feisty one.' I thought, while walking down the Hallway.
I heard people talk about that girl from here and there, but something especially sparked my interest.
"She's a part of the Verenden family? Oh my gosh.. Scary." someone muttered.
"Yeah! I heard about it when I visited the Mostro Lounge!" Another person said.
That girl.. The Verenden Family? Hah! No wonder she's feisty.. Wait, SHE'S A VERENDEN? PART OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AND GREATEST FAMILY? HAHA- I REALLY HOPE SHE FORGETS WHAT HAPPENED EARLIER.
Sigh 'I hope she forgives me..' I thought.. I hope to see her again sometime.. Sometime soon.
What's this feeling I have in my chest? Why do I feel it when I think of her..
