Chapter 9- First Day

Rayna's POV:

Today was the day!!! I was excited to be a counselor and take care of children! I wanted to look professional, I decided to wear my salmon pink shorts with a leather belt. I slipped a white tank top and royal blue blazer on, for accessories I wore a long chain necklace and my white gold watch. I rolled my sleeves and zipped my leather sandals.

Penny and I decided to drive ourselves to the camp. I hugged my parents and told them if call them when I got there. I drove to Penny's house and she came out. "Oh I like your outfit!", I exclaimed. She was wearing a blue and white striped tank top with periwinkle-colored jeans. She had a long-chain necklace with a big jewel and white leather sandals. "Thanks!", she smiles and we head to Lengrove.

The trip was long but we sang along to the radio and talked. Time flew by and we pulled up to the entrance. We went into the lobby to sign in, we were assigned the 11-12 years old group. We would meet all the counselors in the cabins. All the counselors for one group shared a cabin close to their group.

We walked into the cabin to find Will, Drake, and a girl talking. I waved to Will and he smiled. "Hey guys! So we get the 11-12 brats!", Drake exclaimed annoyed. "Get over it! It'll be fun!", the girl nudged Drake. "Hi, I'm Anna!", the girl smiled and offered a hand. She was really pretty, I hope she wasn't with Drake. I knew Penny had a crush on him, even though she would never admit it. The girl had long dark brown wavy hair that cascaded down her back. She had these dangerous green eyes. I replied with a hi and left to help Penny with the suitcases.

Anna's POV:

After the orientation, I texted Drake about once a week. He offered to drive me to camp on the first day, my parents were fine with it. I woke up early and searched for an outfit. I put my plain cream crop top and jean shorts. I clipped my watch on and grabbed my pink shoulder bag. I slipped on my leather sandals. Once I was ready, I heard a beep.

Drake came over and hugged me. "Hey! Long time no see!", I said. He laughed and put my suitcase into the trunk. Will was in the back, he said he wanted to sleep so I could sit in the passenger seat. The sun was blazing and I put my sunglasses on.

I guess I fell asleep too; when I fluttered my eyes open, we were pulling into the parking lot. We got to the cabin and I took a middle cot on one side of the room. Drake took a corner cot next to me and Will took the cot across from Drake on the other side of the room.

We unpacked and talked. The door flung open to reveal a girl with brown-red shoulder length hair. She waved at Will and I introduced myself. I noticed her intense blue eyes. She left and came back with another girl who long straight blond hair and hazel eyes.

"They're cool", Drake whispered. I smiled and hoped so. I didn't want to be the girl that had to always hang out with the guys. I flopped on my bed when I heard the door slam open. "Honey! I'm home!", I look up and I'm face to face with the arrogant Nick himself.

"Please don't flatter yourself!", I grunted. I look up to see Rayna and her friend gawking at him. I sat on Drake's bed and whispered, "The girls in your school seem to be smitten on Nick." I see Will look and frown, his stare is towards Rayna.

Did he like her........ A grin spread across my face. I could be Cupid with the help of Drake. I dragged Drake out the door to tell him my plan. I couldn't help but notice Rayna's friend give me a death stare.
