Chapter 12- Apologies

Drake's POV:

I knew my explosion was uncalled for but I thought Penny and Rayna were different. Anna was the sweetest girl ever, I might have developed a crush on her. Still, what the hell Penny?

But I knew I had to apologize to them, I found them in the arena watching Nick and Anna play basketball. They saw me coming and got a worried look. "Look I came here to apologize for my outburst. It was unnecessary and I didn't mean it. I just didn't fell what you did to Anna was right", saying that in one breath.

They looked startled and know what to say. Then Rayna burst out crying, "I'm sorry! You're right, we don't know Anna and we shouldn't have judged." Penny nodded, but said nothing more.

I walked away, satisfied with the way I handled everything. I walked over to Anna and asked if I could speak to her alone. Once we rounded the corner, I turned around and kissed her. "What the hell?!?"

She looked stunned and confused. "I like you and I thought you liked me too", I said holding her face between my hands. "I-I-I'm sorry, you're a great guy and you find a great girl. It's just that I don't like you that way", she looked down at her feet.

I let go of her and walked away. I hit the building wall beside me. How could I've been so stupid. Of course she didn't like me.

Penny's POV:

I found Anna walking out from behind a building. I stopped her and she looked at me annoyed. "I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to right now, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I hope we can start over. Rayna had nothing to do with this, it was all me"

She looked at me and expanded her hand, "Hi, I'm Anna." She smiled genuinely. "Hi , I'm Penny" I said shaking her hand. We both headed to Rayna and started fresh.

Anna was actually really funny and nice. My impression of her was wrong. We talked through breakfast and went back to the cabin. The boys saw all of us walk in laughing, they sighed in relief knowing that everything was okay.

We were going to the beach today! I couldn't wait. I put on my my bikini with a zig zag design. Rayna had her polka dot blue and white one piece on. Anna came out of the bathroom with a plain red bikini with a big bow on the top half.

We all headed to the van to go to the beach.

Anna's POV:

We were heading to the buses, Penny and Rayna were sitting together. So I decided to ask Nick. I found him talking to a group of girl counselors.

"Hey! Want to sit together on the bus?", I asked.

He turned look at me and walked away. What the hell is his problem?!?!? I sighed and walked onto the bus. Nick and Will were the last two people on the bus. There was an empty seat next to me or Drake.

Nick went with Drake. They hate each other! What did I do wrong? Whatever, I couldn't deal with him. "Hey Will!" He nodded his head in acknowledgment. I put my headphones in and slowly drifted into a day dream.

We arrived at the beach and I stayed far away from Nick and his bipolar attitude. Despite his eyes burning a hoe in the back of my head.
