Slave..... Will I Ever Be Free??

Ae's POV:

Everything was going as per plan and now, only few hours were left for the clock to struck 12.00. My kitten was going to turn 18 and he was going to be free of all his misery. I ordered the maids to prepare Pete's favorite food and we had the dinner with Can and Pond who had come to drop few stuff.

Even Por had been a regular visitor to my house ever since Pete arrived. After the dinner, we sat to watch some movies till finally, everyone decided to leave as it was getting late. I convinced Pete into going for a stroll outside saying that it wasn't too late and I wanted to spend some time with him. My cute kitten agreed instantly and we were now sitting in the garden.

The reason behind not going back to bedroom was the surprise I had planned for him. I had informed everyone to decorate Pete's room and place all the gifts inside when I would take him out. It won't give much time so they had everything ready in advance.

Max too was there with us, wagging his tail as he sat near Pete's feet. My kitten bonded so nice to this little devil that he forgot me. These days, he don't even respond when I call him but when he hears Pete's voice, he comes running from wherever he is.

I had my gaze fixed on the watch while I kept an eye on my kitten and max. There were only 10 minutes left for 12.00 so I decided that it was time to return. I can see my kitten blinking his eyes trying to keep himself awake. He must be very sleepy.

"Kitten, let's go back." I said while getting up and making my way towards my kitten. I gently picked him up in my arms and he immediately wrapped his hands around my neck. I began to walk back in the direction of the house.

As we entered, everything was dark. "Ae, why are the lights off?" Pete inquired. "James must have gone to sleep. We should also go to sleep. It's late." I said while making my way towards the stairs. I had instructed James to switch off the lights because I wanted to surprise my kitten.

I climbed the stairs with my sleepy kitten in my arms. when I reached the bedroom door, I let him down, allowing him to stand on his legs. He whined while protesting since he was really sleepy. "Kitten, just open the door na." I coaxed him.

He pouted at me and then moved to open the door. I signaled James who was hiding at a little distance to switch on the lights. The moment, Pete opened the door, the lights were switched on and the beautiful decoration came into view.

"Happy Birthday Kitten!!" I wished as soon as the lights were on. He turned around and I can see his eyes glistening with tears. "Thank you Ae..." he said while rushing to me and hugging me. He began to cry in my arms but this time, they were tears of happiness. "Awwww my baby... Stop crying na. It's your birthday." I said.

I rubbed his back trying to sooth him and calm him down. Meanwhile, the maids and James gathered around to wish him. Everyone was happy for my little kitten. They all wished him and my kitten accepted all their wished while sniffing and trying to wipe his tears. My poor baby was so touched. James had even brought him a small gift.

After everyone was done wishing him, I greeted them good night and let them return back to their rooms since they would be starting their work early. I then turned my attention to kitten who was still standing at the door of his bedroom and examining the whole place.

"Come, let's go inside." I said while holding his hand. He followed me inside the room while looking around the place in fascination. I can understand his feelings right now. He haven't celebrated his birthday for years and then suddenly getting this big surprise must have made him overwhelmed.

He looked around the place checking the decoration and gifts. I had also instructed to keep some fresh flowers and bouquet of roses in the room. The smell had already filled the place giving it a beautiful touch.
