Ae's POV:

After a while, James walked into the room carrying a tray filled with different kinds of snacks. He placed it on the night stand and left after bowing. Pete looked at the food and I can see the curiosity in his eyes.

I grabbed the tray and placed it on bed. "Which one would you like to have first?" I asked. He looked at the tray blinking few times. I can see confusion on his face and knew that he was trying to think which one he should eat.

I grabbed a piece of cake and held it in front of his mouth. "Have this..." I said. He opened his mouth and took a small bite of it. He chewed it while I waited for his reaction. He leaned forward and took a big bite of the cake. I didn't have to ask if he liked it because the way he was eating it made it all clear.

Soon the whole piece of cake vanished and I can see my kitten with stained lips. I leaned forward and gently wiped off the cream from his lips. He smiled at me and that was the sweetest smile of his. I then fed him the other stuff and he ate them all. I can see the excitement in his eyes as he tasted each and every item. He looked so cute right now that I wanted to spoil him.

"Did you like it?" I asked. "Yes Ae.... They all are so good..." he replied. I can see the happiness in his eyes and was relieved that he was slowly forgetting the incidences of earlier. "Would you like to watch TV?" I asked.

"You will allow me to watch?" he asked. "Of course dear..." I said and then moved to grab the remote placed on the night stand. I switched on the television and browsed through the channels. Right now, I knew what Pete would prefer and I settled on watching cartoon.

The moment he saw the animation movie, he was completely lost in watching it. I couldn't help myself from watching his face that showed cute reactions. Other than the movie, I was more interested in watching my kitten's face.

The channel was playing tangled and I can see Pete being all happy while watching it. I should make sure that he watches more cheerful movies. I don't want him to have any bad memory and to recall his past life. This is going to be his new life and I will make sure that he will stay happy forever.

The movie ended and Pete turned his head in my direction. "Ae... It was nice... I like the hair of that girl. It was sooooo long. I wish I too had hairs like that so that when I go back and you want to meet me, I can let them down and you will be able to climb up." He said. I haven't told him that I was not going to send him back.

"Do you want to go back after a month?" I asked. I can see his expression change and he looked down while fidgeting with his hands, the thing he did when he was nervous or sad. "No... but I will have to... You have asked por to let me stay with you for a month only." He replied in a low voice. "What if I don't send you back?" I asked.

He snapped his head to look at me. "Ae... A-Are you not going to send me back?" he asked doubtfully. "I won't send you back to your por now. You will stay here, with me." I cleared. "Really Ae?? I will not go back?" he tried to confirm.

"No!! Never!! From now on, this is your house... you will stay here..." I said. I can see his eyes getting filled with tears as I cleared the things. "B-but por will get angry. He might beat you too." He said. I can see the concern in his eyes as he said those words.

"Your por wouldn't be able to do anything. I will make sure that no one will get hurt now." I assured. It was necessary that Pete should learn that I am not sending him back to Weir. There was no way that I will allow him to get hurt again.

"Really Ae? I am scared that por might hurt you too...." He spoke. I can understand his feelings right now. He had been caged and threatened all the time and the reaction I was getting was expected.
